I was just watching Alex Jones and he said he was supporting Trump. How can anyone professing to be libertarian support and endorse Trump. I'm done with Jones and I hope other liberty lovers will find a new place for information.
Quell surprise.

Who didn't see this coming? When Trump went on the show Jones fawned all over him and called him a "statement" of all things. That was about all I could stand to watch and I hand to turn it off. That reminds me. When's the last time Rand went on the show? Oh yeah. It was before he endorsed Mitt Romney and Jones went temporarily insane. Jones attacked both Rand and Ron, but Ron sucked it up and went back on. Rand didn't. Oh well.
But this has been coming for a while. First Dr. Jerome Corsi, big time birther, went on the Alex Jones show and said Donald Trump was the "real deal." Then a member of the Trump campaign on the show and he and Jones had a wonderful time bashing Hillary Clinton and Obama and the "neocons." Then Trump attacked dubya over not protecting us on 9/11. That's the closest any serious presidential candidate has ever come to being a 9/11 truther, including Ron Paul. Jones, of course, was all over that. And Trump, unlike Ron, didn't trip over himself trying to distance himself from "conspiracy theories." If your number one issue is exposing things like 9/11 and the Bilderberg Group, and if Rand has people like Peter Theil of the Bilderberg Group endorsing him and, then running away from people trying to ask him about the Bilderberg Group after at first saying it actually was a concern.
But you know what the real irony of all of this is? For 8 years now we've been hearing over and over again from certain people in this movement that people like Alex Jones are a "net negative" on the liberty movement. They drive more people away from Ron Paul then they bring. So...should people who believe that be jumping up and down for joy now that Jones is endorsing Trump? Think about it. If it's
really a net negative for someone like Ron Paul then it should, theoretically anyway, be a net negative for Donald Trump. We should
want Alex Jones to endorse Trump right? Oh...but through the years it's been "Go away conspiracy theorists....but you'd better endorse our money bombs on your radio show because....liberty."
Seriously, it's Donald Trump's "I don't give a crap what the pundits think they can all go to hell for all I care" attitude that has cause his meteoric rise in the polls. A Donald Trump adviser never would have sent a text to Peter Schiff telling him not to go to "Trumpfest" because there were people there that he wouldn't want to be associated with. And if such an adviser did sent out such a text, Trump would have immediately said
YOU'RE FIRED!
Anyhow, I hadn't listened to Jones since he had Trump on and haven't listened consistently for years now anyway. While I'm disappointed in this, on the other hand I can't blame him. He's just another person that Rand's incompetent handlers pushed away.
