You know, most people on this forum will never admit it, but tribalism may be a biological inescapable trait that Humans can't ignore. Personally, I think if America kept it's ethnic identity (Black & White with some slight Hispanics influence) we wouldn't be having the amount of problems we have today. How can we be sure these Hispanic immigrants care about American values? The states in which they migrate to are increasingly being liberalized through the Democratic Party. If multiculturalism is truly a blessing, the Native Americans would be the happiest people on Earth.

Yeah, I'm not saying racism is a good thing. Or racialism, rather. But day after day I'm being convinced that Humans will ALWAYS think in tribalistic terms. No matter how enlightened some may be.

Whites are immigrants too, ya know. We may call ourselves American, but there's nothing "American" about caucasoids.

Well all people are immigrants when it comes down to it. Only difference is, usually there's a time where people start referring to themselves as part of a nation and stop thinking themselves as Hyphenated-nationalities. But in modern day America, I see people (of all races, including whites) being more proud of their ethnicity rather than current culture/nation. I don't think it works out well in the long run, as we're seeing Latino separatist groups like La Raza picking up more steam.

And I'd like to specify, I like to think of humans as humans, and that's the end of it. But I really doubt the majority of humans really think this way. I think people may always be tribal.

Gotcha. I don't see anything grand about nationalism, though. It's a pretty silly idea, really. It lends itself easily to groupthink and makes people more vulnerable to appeals to "patriotism". Identifying with one's culture is more sensible. Thinking of it that way, there are numerous sub-cultures that function together as one larger culture-Stae, city, even neighborhoods have distinct cultures. /end rant

Seriously I dont care, lets all form our own community governments its much better than the dictatorship in DC. Our American government is turned completely tyrannical. I see no end to the regulations or the attempts to strip our wealth, dignity, and freedoms from us. We must secede and form communities and government of our own. I think we have gotten to that point, I don't care what Mass does as long as I am not forced to abide by it. That was the whole point of having a limited national government and state sovereignty.

I support any people anywhere who want to separate for greater freedom. I can support this because at the very least they are not trying to force something on me, they are free to associate with me or my government or not too, and I reserve that right likewise.

I vaguely remember a few years ago,I think it was 2007 about talk how the leass ran out on Arizona, and that Janet Napolitano had to give back parts of it to Mexico. It had something to do with the Gadsden Purchase I think. Baja Arizona is within the parts of the map I vaguely remember from that conspiracy.

I think JustinTime did too. Balkanization is the opposite of globalization.

Globalization is more like when the UN comes in and makes us all get along under the same rules when that's what we were trying to avoid in the first place.

Good, I hope the Southwest becomes balkanized and people come to value the principles of self-determination and secession which are inherent in the Libertarian Philosophy. Secession is an American value, if you are into appeals to tradition. America was founded upon the premise that a just government derives it's consent from the governed and that when free individuals no longer consent they have the right to form a new government. I don't care if the state is primarily hispanic and has a socialist bent, I don't have to endorse the politics of the proposed state, all we have to do is support is the principle of secession. I would also support the notion of White Nationalists separating and forming their own government based on the consent of the governed.

If anything, this measure will make Arizona more thoroughly conservative and more libertarian leaning.
