Just caught wind of this.

Remember when the GOP establishment kicked out the DULY ELECTED GOP State chairman? Debbie Brown, as DULY ELECTED Vice chair, became Chair and now they're trying to get rid of her as well.

FYI, I don't know what the conclusion is, I just hope it isn't bad.

Debbie,
Should you decide to resign rather than go through a hearing, a hearing that will inevitably have the same result, i.e. removing you as chair, I would suggest that you do it before you go to the RNC meetings. This way, you will not have wasted your money on the cost of the trip. There woud be no hotel bill at $189 per night and you could cancel your airline reservation and get credit for the airfare (minus the airline change fee). This will save you in excess of $1000.
While I know it is hard for you to accept, I need to tell you again that everyone that I am aware of in this process believes you to be of strong moral fiber, of good character, and dedicated to the Party. While all believe this to be true, it does not change the opinion of all of these same people that you have neither adequately performed your duties thus far as relates to finances nor do these people believe that you would be successful at it in the future.
I'm sorry for the pain that this causes you. I wish I did not have to be the one to bring it to you.

Wow, the meeting going down in this video took place Monday. It is said by our people that this meeting was ILLEGALLY held. You should all watch it.

I saw something on that. I think that is incredible.

Or not, given RNC and all the shenanigans.

Can we do a chip in for her expenses to RNC?

good.

I'm more and more starting to believe the establishment and ousted establishment chair took the money out of the account when they did because they actually HAD as rumored, given GOP money to Murkowski, the 'independent' candidate. And now they are terrified of having grass roots see the books and accounts. This level of desperation sure needs something to explain it.

Now can you prove that?

If I could, I wouldnt be saying 'I'm starting to think' and would be calling it a sure thing. Proof you might need the books for, one way or the other.

Well, without any evidence or proof to that effect, it borders on libel. It's conjecture unless someone in Alaska now has said books and can prove this.

But to the topic, this is just further proof about the Republican Party being fractured and splintered, especially at the state level. I assume if this incoming Chair cannot raise funds adequately, he'll be replaced as well. Only fair. Wouldn't want the GOP to find itself accused of (even more) double standards. Well, yes, I would. Hopefully Brown has a plan for this.

Brown ordered the Alaska GOP office be locked down in her absence as she attends the RNC spring meeting in Hollywood, in the joe miller link provided above, they cite several reasons why the 'hearing' held Monday was illegal.

Brown still considers herself the Chair, good luck to Alaska, they're still deep in the trenches.

It isn't libel since I said it was an opinion I am starting to think, because of their desperation. I didn't state it was fact. But I am a lot more curious about what the books will show now than I was when I first heard the rumor.

Good luck, Alaska.

No, it is only 'fair' if those with the power to vote are given proper notice and decide that is a good reason to remove someone who just got in.

Opinion or not- especially saying it's a level of desperation- still a massive claim to make. You can make it, yes. No one's arguing that- but it's still a big one to make, particularly when the word "rumor" is part of that.

It is being up front that it was a rumor that makes what I said accurate. The rumor could be baseless but I wasnt the one who made it up. or it could end up being 'kind of true' as when the GOP spent all the money designated for the district Ron won the primary in... in the primary, against him. So she would then have been the incumbant. But yeah, I'm not saying it happened, I don't know. But this seems really bizarre desperation, to me.
