After Speech, Trump Loses Key Texas Hispanic Backer

Those statements just verify that people only see what they want to see. And further, that they'll make up any excuse in their heads to confirm what they hope to see. Trump's whole campaign is a lesson in cognitive dissonance.

What those people see is that Trump did not announce a reversal of his position on immigration, despite all the noise from his critics that he was going to do so. Cognitive dissonance is for Trump bashers to claim X, then when shown to be wrong, to accuse others of cognitive dissonance. Lesson learned.

The stuff with the polls is just the ebb and flow that you always see with polling. He is not going to catch up with Hillary or beat her in this lifetime. Its sorta like the nascar of politics, Trump might come close but he would never pass her. She also has too many Trump generated material to attack him with.

So even when Trump catches up with her or passes her in the polls, due to all the Hillary-generated negative material he has on her, he's not catching up with her or passing her in the polls. Got it, more cognitive dissonance. Lesson learned.

What it actually showed is that the Trump will say whatever is politically expedient at the time, even if it is a complete 180 from a previous statement. A candidate who is not serious about winning can afford to do things like this.

Confirmation Bias =/= Cognitive Dissonance

Confirmation bias is natural. We all have it. Even you do. It is a feature of how the brain works.

And remember from your computer classes what the definition of a feature is: a bug you can't get rid of. :p

This post right here screams that you aren't a serious poster on these forums.

Trump is very likely going to the the next president of the United States and you are still trolling nonsense like this.

Please tell us more about how he has hit his ceiling and will be dropping out to hand the election over to Hillary.

Very likely? He's not winning now and we still have 2 more months of Trump letting his mouth ramble on regardless of facts. Even his 'major immigration speech' was full of false info.

His "National" council had 6 members? Not sure this will be a monumental loss here.

I think you may be reading "national advisory council" wrong. It's not that there are only 6 people that Jacob Monty brought to the table. Rather there are 6 representatives to advise Trump on winning the Hispanic vote. You wouldn't want thousands or hundreds or even 10s of people on such a committee.

Actually Trump did do a reversal. It's a double reversal. He went from deportation force to "that is to be determined" to "deportation force" all over again. Just a few days ago Trump supporters here way saying "Who cares about a deportation force?" So if he takes it out or puts it back it,it doesn't matter.

Trump floated trial balloons by hinting at easing his immigration policy in hopes of attracting more moderate voters and expanding his base. Now he has jumped back to where he was. Was he afraid of losing the far right if he moved to the middle? They reacted strongly against the rumored shift. Either way, it will hurt the campaign. This is why he had avoided details up until now. He chose the Right- where there are not enough voters to get him elected.

It's always been about creating turnout and energy. The cucks don't vote, especially with Hillary on the other side. Trump is trying to recreate the 2010 election model with even more outreach to angry independents. And to this point, Trump is trouncing Hillary with independents (see Ohio where he leads by 17 pts).

You gotta be kidding me.

The first thing that the dude started doing on the board was to post a half a million completely meaningless and out of context memes.

That right there is incredibly unnatural behaviour that simply screams "I am going totally out of my way to appear as if I am engaging this internet community in a natural manner".

Then the guy starts this non-stop jihad against the single candidate that every SJW on the planet agrees must be stopped at all costs - 100% to the benefit of the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Anyone who can't see that the dude is the most obvious example of a Correct The Record employee that we have ever had on this board has got to have their head completely stuck up their own ass.

Leessee.....
"The dude" has been here since 2012, so Trump posts were not his reason for being here.

THIS internet community is a Ron Paul forum and we were specifically asked NOT to promote Trump, or anyone else once Rand dropped out. Trump supporters ignored that request and blazoned the forum with pro-Trump stuff, and have never stopped.

CPUd began posting counter stuff to show a complete view of Trump, and the Trumpets really blew their cover- started accusing "the dude" of being a Clinton suppporter etc, when there was absolutely NO reason to post mega stuff about Clinton on a forum where NO ONE supports her. An occasional outrageous news story on Clinton is necessary to see WTF is going on in the race but there has been absolutely NO REASON to post tons about Hitlery.

In the meantime very few Trumpets actually post anything newsworthy. Their method of winning over hearts and minds is name-calling, insults, and innuendoes. I have only seen 2 or 3, on the whole forum, post a different thoughtful and positive POV on Trump that might make someone stop and think.

The fact that Trump comes off as the biggest spoiled brat in political history does nothing to enhance support when his followers act exactly the same way.

Personally, I support everyone's right to vote for whom they please. I DO NOT support the childish insults and name calling, or bashing of others, their religions, and culture.

AND for anyone who is truly trying to educate themselves on this whole political fiasco, negative threads on Trump should be welcome as a means for looking at all sides of the picture w/o having to search for stuff yourselves.

Independents don't want to hear that shit he was talking last night. He was improving with them when he went vanilla. And on the left, it will make them come out to vote against Trump.

Independents are largely tired of the political class lying to them. That's why they tolerate Trump and why he's built a significant advantage over Hillary in that category.

The massive failings of the political class has immunized Trump in regard to his tone. Trump would have never gotten out of New Hampshire in 2008, but things have significantly worsened since then.

They won't vote for someone they think is unstable. The polling is consistent on that point.

Rednecks are more determined than inner city sponges, and no black folk are running this time. The fact that Hilldicus is an evil white bitch associated with three strikes and the Don is a playa won't help her either.
You keep up the good work, though. ;)

More proof on how stupid Trump supporters are. Republican states are bigger welfare queens than Democrat states. Half the Trump supporters on this forum like silverhandorder are living off the government's nipple. Learn to think before you talk dum dum.

Every time CPU'd posts an anti-Trump piece and the Trump supporters throw conniption fits I sit back and LMOA. Damn, ya'll trigger easy.

I'm sorry, did I trigger you? Well bless your little heart.
Perhaps if you would spend more time reading and noticing things instead of just typing out a load of bullshit, you would notice I was referring to Missouri, not "Republican states". Also, since it appears you're not really paying attention, I support Castle.

Lol at calling rep states welfare states.

I see this tactic used often in other countries too.

When you look into it it's turns out to be a lie.

FYI my location is NYC.

There aren't any key hispanic backers except Lyin' Ted Cruz who was burnt.

Whether he gets 25% or 35% of the hispanic vote is going to be irrelevant just because he makes immigration lawyer ever wealthier.

Does this hispanic individual have a real job, or does he just take a cut by getting illegals out of deportation orders or selling green cards to people?

Sounds like Rubio & Ava Navarro & Cesar Conda crapping on ordinary people when these little bitches dont' have real jobs.

This guy obviously wants everyone & anyone to skate deportation & to anyone & when it comes to legal immigrants in other countries it doesn't have to be the best & brightest.
