The Hawaii state convention is over. Ron Paul was openly and publically disparaged and the campaign collected zero national delegates. Sounds bad but I have to say this weekend was a resounding success and all of the supporters of Liberty and Ron Paul have alot to be proud of.
With only six months of organization the Ron Paul delegation represented 25% of all delegates in attendance. I don't care how you look at it, that is awesome. One organizers effort put into coordinating the Maui and neighbor islands was unbelievable. That's alot of people spread out over a very large area to keep a grip on. Ron Paul and America should be happy to have her working for them.
Secondly, we are all indebted to the 'Forums Ohana' without your willingness and commitment to freedom and putting it into action by donating to the Chipin there would have been no less than 10 fewer delegates in attendance. THANK YOU for your donations and thank you for not buying into the notion that there is some price tag on freedom and you should watch out as to not "overpay" for the freedom you say you want.
Lastly, to our anonymous benefactor who so generously donated 50% matching founds for all other donation. A giant Mahalo goes to you from all of us. Not only are we gratefull for your monetary support but your political wisdom and directions are the only thing that helped us get out of that convention alive. At least with your support we had a fighting chance. And believe me on Firday night we were definitely in a postion to rock GOP ass.
Thanks again to everybody across the country and remember, this is not the end, it is only the beginning.

Aloha KnownasTim and all you fantastic Koas there in Hawaii (and particularly Maui and the islands in Maui County) . As a non Hawaiian but someone who has watched with great pride your dedication and extremely hard work and personal and financial sacrifice defending our country and your state I am so glad to hear your positive comments after the convention.
Sure I think all of us are looking at the "Scoreboard" and judging success or failure by number of National Convention Delegates for RP.
But I think that is not the real issue and I think you hit the nail on the head with your post.
We all have to face the fact that good things (really good long lasting things anyway) are never won in a short period of time.
I do believe as you say that your convention was a TREMENDOUS success in so many ways and really is the beginning of something lasting and long term for you and for the country.
If the majority of you stay involved, run one or two local candidates and keep the fun going then you enter into phase two where the real action is. And you keep people together that way and build up your base even more by having a local focus.
Obviously the candidacy of Ron Paul was good in focusing people and so much has been accomplished and brought so many of us together and due to this we can now concentrate on the next step.
And what you all learned in your organizing and at the convention will certainly be helpful for the next step.
Keep up your work there in Hawaii and keep those younger people involved and build on your great base that you have and you will surely see that in another year you will have progressed even more.
