Yes, feel free . I know the author who "creatively" put together the letter for HI. & he won't mind :)

*Couch surf* ----> refers to the outer island delegates that can't afford to stay at the hotel. So, some M/U members on O'ahu (where the state convention is held) are opening their homes & donating a sofa for them to crash on.

I do know the people in HI. have been working extremely hard amidst challenges & now the financial angle is the icing on the cake! We all have to help them out however possible. Every bit helps!!

Thanks!:D I'm not so good with words, sometimes and it always seems that someone else does it so much better than I can. I looked at this one and thought how lame mine was..."I need money to go to St. Paul"......blech!

I love HI, was there in 1973 for a few weeks on a little R&R while in the army, got free room and board and saw some of the most beautiful land in the world--by far. Don't get me wrong, the Feather River canyon in NCA and other places are beautiful too, but HI is the bomb!!!

See you in St Paul, can't wait!!!

Thanks Michael!
You contributed $20.08 to Hawaii State Convention

The dancers in "Na Kamalei: The Men of Hula" sway their hips in movements as fluid as the ocean, but make no mistake about it - these are men's men.

They're beer guzzling firemen, fathers and surfers who just happen to have a burning penchant to celebrate their Hawaiian heritage by donning flower leis and dancing in harmony. If you have a problem with that, talk to Robert Cazimero, the seemingly mild-mannered master hula teacher, whose laid-back attitude can suddenly explode into rage while he's coaching his male dancers to the Super Bowl of hula competitions.

"I'm doing this for your self-f-ing esteem!" he shouts when his men fall out of line...
