Michigan's convention is tonight. Romney's delegates will be open and positions will be up for grabs. All RP republicans need to get there and become delegates.

This could be crucial to preventing McCain from taking the nomination.

Attention all Michigan Ron Paul supporters:

NOW IS THE TIME TO WIN MICHIGAN.

Romney has just dropped out, which means THE DELEGATES WILL BE UN-BOUND. The Michigan delegates at the national convention may all vote for Paul--if we get the right people to the national convention.

Tonight is the county convention for your county. EVERY RON PAUL SUPPORTER MUST ATTEND. They will be ill-attended as the prevailing false belief is that McCain has won the nomination. And most Republicans don't even like McCain.
Precinct delegates probably won't even show up.

IF you go to the county convention, and if you are a Republican, you CAN be elected by the company present to fill vacancies to the state convention and THERE WILL BE VACANCIES.

Many county conventions are listed at http://www.migop.org/upcoming_events.asp if you aren't sure where your's is. Just about all of them take place at 7:30 pm, but call your county GOP and double-check: http://migop.org/directory/default.asp

Wear a coat and tie, sit quietly while the GOP officials and precinct delegates vote who to send to the state convention (write down who they are), and if there are any open seats, rise and ask that you be elected to represent your county at the state convention. The state convention is Saturday night and Sunday morning in Lansing.

This is very short notice. NOW is the time to act. Log in on the Precinct Leader program at https://voters.ronpaul2008.com and call every Ron Paul Precinct Leader in your county. Rush them to action. Get all of them to the convention. Get every Ron Paul supporter to your county convention. If you support Ron Paul, there is nothing more important than this. Clear your schedule. Postpone the meeting. This is the critical hour.

people need to show up dressed nice, use your best manners and be sure you are able to cover important talking points clearly and concisley. This is serious business now and we need everyone to be on their A game.

Just got back from my county meeting. There were maybe 60 people, and about 10 of them were Ron Paul people. We filled some of the vacancies, but the chairman at the meeting, stated, that any new delegates appointed tonight cannot vote. Since Michigan elects them every other year, only those delegates can vote.

I just got back too. I knew 3 RP supporters, and we filled some vacancies, but there may have been more supporters there that are also going to the state convention because there was a lot of vacancies. In fact, they asked for more names even if the person wasn't there. The Chairman did not make any statement suggesting delegates wouldn't be able to vote. I can't imagine why they wouldn't let us, because delegates from the previous cycle were not there anyway.

BTW...dress attire was not that big a deal, although most were dressed nice.

No worries, I had on my monkey suit. But in my county, there were a few people there that obviously attended often (they were organizing stuff) and they DID look like they just crawled out of the gutter. Just saying if you look like a upstanding citizen, you should be fine....its more important that you go.
