ABC This Week,Positive RON PAUL

"We're not ALLOWED to talk about the MINOR candidates." Did you guys pick up on that? Just more proof that the powers that be TELL the pundits what they can and can't say.

translation: the media moguls DECIDE who the "top tier" are...the mouthpieces are instructed to talk them up...the "polls" refelect the media hype...and then the media justifies not talking about "second tier" because the polls show them lagging!!!!

and finally...that idiot co-worker of yours tells you..."RP has no chance"....but the sheep never pause to ask themselves WHY he has "no chance"

orwellian stuff

I know I know. And just think about how much Fred Thompson was a candidate created by the media! All of a sudden, Thompson is considered a first tier candidate and gets all this news coverage.

The same is true of Obama, whose candidacy was basically created by Oprah...

sickening

Been a lot of that lately. I have a television, but it doesn't help me out in Australia. I'm sure other overseas Ron Paul fans are dissapointed also.

I can't agree with you there. Obama has been a star since he hit the national scene, long before Oprah.

Audio link!

Here's the audio of today's show: http://a.media.abcnews.com/podcasts/071118tw_pre.mp3

They start talking about Ron Paul during the roundtable part, around 3/4 of the way through the show and it's mostly VERY positive! Then they move on to other things for a few minutes, then someone brings up Dr. Paul again. Stephanopoulos quickly interrupts and steers the conversation around the Baseball.

I, for my entire life did not watch the political news because they only talk abut the major candidates. It's like a broken record being played over and over again. Boring! The outline of the script never changes, only minor details. You'd think they would want to throw in someone like Ron Paul for a change in order to increase viewer interest.

Negative, Ghost Rider. It was a roundtable discussion. Your video is from 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Edit: I was wrong, that's the green room video from today's show. Still, though, the roundtable discussion should be posted soon. The green room videos are internet only.

I believe the phrase is "Negative, Ghost Writer," not Ghost Rider. :D

I can't agree with you there. Obama has been a star since he hit the national scene, long before Oprah.

But only 2 years in the Senate and now he's considered a viable presidential candidate? When Ron Paul has 20 years in Congress?

See, why is Obama even considered a "star" in the first place? It's still all just a media creation.

True, but created by the media none-the-less. They made a big deal out of him when he gave a speech at the Dem Convention in 04.

I believe you are wrong, and I sentence you to watch Top Gun and learn that Maverick's plane was named Ghost Rider. Sentence to be carried out immediately. Bailiff, take him away.

They think RP supporters are simply angry. And have no idea what his stances are. They think its ridiculous to think that ordinary people understand or care about the Federal Reserve.

Oh re-he-heally? Is THAT why the gold-based barter system created a coin with RP's image on it?

We're angry, but largely ignorant. riiight

They're paying a little more attention, but they have a ways to go.

They don't take Paul's campaign seriously yet. Paul's fundraising success doesn't fit into their paradigm. They are going to be SHOCKED on Dec. 16 and at the NH primary.

I'm sorry, but the audio version of this (if that's what that earlier link truly was), is not positive for Ron Paul. At the very end of this pro Fred Thompson audio peice, the commentors gather around and eventually George Will says smugly, "Wait, what about my man, Ron Paul?" Everyone else, "Bwahhaahah! <chortle, chuckle, chuckle,>" Then they proceed to give a mostly surface analogy of his campaign in NH, and "who Ron Paul is going to cannabalize." They discuss him only as an affect on the NH primaries, but completely dismiss his campaign as legitimate in any way. Same old, M'effin' SAME old. Someone brings up Ron Paul as, "the only honest, straight taking candidate out there," and then Snuffalupagous *instantly* changes the topic to baseball! End of story. OH, and then some uninformed woman says something to the effect of, "Yeah, and Ron Paul has even begun to distribute coins with his image on it as an alternative currency." ......... IDIOTS.

I can tell you, even if Ron Paul wins New Hampshire, he will continue to be discounted by the MSM, as he has been. They will find a way to minimalize his win, as they have minimalized his winning thus far. We can't let it bring us down. These people no longer matter, and we're living in the last days of major MSM influence.

Yes, that audio is the correct piece. I didn't think it was so bad, and kudos to George Will for throwing that bomb.
