ABC News Vice President Is Mad at Me!!!

While I do find this humorous, calling members of the media at 3am on their personal cell phones is not appropriate and I do not encourage this activity. In fact it reflects poorly upon Ron and ourselves.

I don’t want to "disrupt" anything at ABC. I never encouraged anyone to disrupt anything. So if anyone here is going to call or e-mail ABC, be polite, and don’t call at all hours of the night. Also don’t be rude, obnoxious, disruptive, etc. All you should do is state your opinion in a courteous and mature manner- they’ll get the point.
The media, through its barrage of misinfo, disinfo and total obfuscation, is responsible for countless heartship around the world, either through military, economic, medical or food wars against humanity. They are complicit with government, supra government and corporate interests in these immoral acts. Calling them at 3AM or 'disrupting' their distortion of the publics' will is but a small price for them to pay. Keep it up, don't stop, give them no peace until they suffer real consequences for their psychopathic activities.

When you are one of the directors of one of the top news agencies in the world, you have to leave your cell phone on at all times.

When you are one of the directors of one of the top news agencies in the world, I'd imagine that you have some phones you answer and some phones you don't. If a phone you don't answer is ringing, and you want to act like it's a big deal, then you act like it's a big deal.

Still no Paul picture or reporter assigned to him. Keep calling and complaining. Let them get mad. I know I am.

Hey, ABC...

As some of you may know I am a producer at a conservative talk radio station.

After posting the contact information for the top directors of ABC News along with their coverage plan of Super Tuesday (which excludes Ron Paul), they have apparently read these forums and sent my boss an e-mail about it. By the way, the information I posted is available to the public on the ABC News website:

http://abcnewsradio.com/08election/advisories/supertuesday.html

http://abcnewsradio.com/contact.html

VICE PRESIDENT / GENERAL MANAGER Steve Jones of ABC News authored the e-mail in which he mentioned his displeasure of the situation.

Apparently he thinks we are “protesting” and “intending to disrupt his news operation to achieve political gain”.

To be fair, he did however say “I respect the rights of these people to complain” and his e-mail was very cordial.

He also mentioned that Peter SalingerDirector of ABC News Special Events “had to turn his cell phone off at 3am because the deluge of calls was unending” He continues “In addition our newsroom today was distracted from its primary operations so staff could answer calls from Ron Paul supporters”

While I do find this humorous, calling members of the media at 3am on their personal cell phones is not appropriate and I do not encourage this activity. In fact it reflects poorly upon Ron and ourselves.

The information is publicly available and has been prior to my post so I have not posted anything that was private, confidential, secret, proprietary, etc. Again, please do not behave poorly with this information because it makes Ron Paul look bad. Our actions reflect upon Ron. Please keep that in mind.

Oh goody, yet another WTN David v. Goliath long-running saga on the horizon?

They base they're coverage on polling data, but it is precisely this lack of coverage which keeps Dr. Paul low in the polls.

Why have they never covered Dr. Paul's amazing Straw Poll record, or his superior fundraising to all top teir candidates without even having the help of lobbyist groups?

Being an A**hole doesn't get you far in life. But as long as they seriously try to keep my candidate's numbers down I will continue to politely write/call them.

Blowback indeed, it's not a hard concept to grasp. Do unto others as you would have done unto you. What I find amusing is that the Media tries to play the victim card in all of this.

call call call

Matt you kept your word to your boss and asked us to stop.

Ron Paul doesn't look bad by our actions. If that was the case all the KKK guys that support him would have been asked to stop.

Threatening emails, letters, phone calls yes SHOULD stop.

But we should not stop calling him until he changes what he is doing.

Apparently he thinks we are “protesting” and “intending to disrupt his news operation to achieve political gain”.

This isn't for "political gain" but political EQUALITY!

What did they say when you called the first time?

I left a voice mail when they had 6 candidates on the page. I said it wasn't fair when they had the "top 6" candidates covered including Rudy but not PAUL, when of course PAUL was leading him.

I agree supporters should not do stupid things or make people angry or upset, but it is a fact that ONLY the squeaky wheel gets the grease and the idea that we should sit back and accept unfair, biased and dishonest coverage is silly. The only people who have ever gotten anywhere in the world are the people who have stood up for themselves. Sadly, it has largely been people with evil agendas who have done that. Libertarian types tend not to think that they have the right to tell other people what to think or believe so that puts us at a disadvantage relative to people think they do have that right. The fact is, none of us is interested in making other people believe what we do. We just want everyone to have a chance to hear the message and without distortion and filtering so they can make up their own minds. If the message is not censored and they get to hear it and understand it and then reject it, fine. My guess is the big fear of the powers that be is that people won't reject the message of liberty if they are allowed to hear it.

Nice doesn't get you anywhere in todays age, look at Bush and Saddam, nice dint get Saddam to leave did it? Nice did not get RP any fair time at that idiot Anderson Pooper debate did it? I say there is no more time for NICE! After Super Tuesday it wont matter anymore will it? I say be Nice but demanding and have a strong firm believe and don't take no for an answer... We wore nothing but nice to CNN and look what they did.
