A Winning Strategy for Washington

We've raised about $1,500 so far. With $1,000 set aside for the first reward, that leaves only $500 for robocalling this weekend.

Does anyone have Peter Thiel's cell phone number?

Yeah if I were a billionare I'd totally like to make my phone number public. =D

my caucus starts at 10 (as does everyone elses) but it is pooled, so i won't have total control even though i am a pco, we will probably have some pledge-of-allegance or something to get going. but with that said, i did this last time and i'm gonna be aiming for speed this time. not sure if it's possible, but i'm aiming for 10:45 to be able to send you a picture showing a unanimous straw poll victory and nothing but Ron Paul delegates

now i just have to figure out how to send a picture....

Correct me if wrong but I think you have to be invited to be eligible for the prizes. Not to take anyone for granted, but if you're posting on rpf's you're probably already doing everything in your power to get Ron Paul votes. :)

i'm hoping someone i know that's going gets called...

Ah, well best of luck to you then. Should be a fun night. If you bring nine friends $1,000 split 10 ways is still $100 each for an hour hanging out at a caucus.
This email confirms that you have donated $1,000.00 USD to Grassroots for Liberty ([email protected]) using PayPal.

Now you're halfway to $5k. Make good use of it!

That's freaking awesome. Damn it would be sweet to win Washington...

Wow. +rep to you!

I've considered this critically, and I have to say, with slight hesitation, that this project is definitely worth doing. I'm not sure how exactly you will be handling the awards -- that would need to be thought out very carefully so that the incentive is large enough but with a reasonable enough chance of winning so as not to discourage people from competing due to stiff odds... But I think anything that can be done to further Washington would be great, and this is direct outreach.

The best part of this project IMO is expanding the list of supporters through robocalling. The awards will certainly help with the turnout as well but if this goes like Ames, we'll be bringing in many new supporters that would otherwise go unreached.

This seems like a good idea to me, would this effort be able to cover a good percentage of the voting locations in Washington or is it more targeted in certain areas?

Believe it or not, Jun will be meeting with Peter Thiel's representative (and possibly Peter himself) at the RLC convention in California tomorrow. Wish him luck!

Another piece of possible good news is that Jun has found an owner of a voice broadcasting company who supports Ron Paul and who sounds like he is willing to donate all the bandwidth we need for robocalls while he is not serving his customers. If that works out, then all the money donated so far can be used as prize money for motivating people to get their asses out of bed next Saturday morning and win their precinct for Ron Paul. Depending on how Jun's fundraising goes tomorrow, we might end up with enough money for a $1,000 prize within each Congressional district.

By the way, nothing has been written in stone about the contest yet. The only reason I've proposed that prizes go to those who report correct vote tallies first is to guarantee that we're rewarding people who are actually at the caucus, not someone who somehow got leaked results. Rewarding speediness also gives people a feeling that they're more in control of whether they win. But another way to distribute awards might be to have a random drawing of those who report tallies within a certain time from, like 10am to 11am. Yet another way would be to give it to the first person to report from the precinct with the largest victory margin for Ron Paul.

Good luck Jun.
That boy is a hard working paulbot for sure.

bump in anticipation of Eddie Johnson's first hat-trick in rave green as we thrash Santos Laguna and return the USA to it's rightful spot as the premier nation in CONCACAF.

included in this bump is a future (desir)ability to follow my Sounders to matches in Northern Mexico w/minimal safety concerns.

GREAT IDEA.

Targets like a laser exactly what we need - more people to vote at the caucus for Ron Paul.
