I work in the cell phone sales industry and we are constantly bombarded with sales techniques. One of these techniques in "OPEN ENDED QUESTIONS Vs. CLOSED ENDED QUESTIONS." A closed ended questions is one that can be answered with yes or no. An open ended question is one that requires a dialog on the subject. If we can open a dialog, we have a better chance a selling Dr. Paul to those that haven't decided yet. Dialog allows us to present Ron Paul's ideas in a manner that voters can identify and agree with. Those of you canvassing in NH and other areas should give it a try. Just rephrasing what you are presenting can make a big difference.

I can't speak for the original poster but I think it is something along these lines:

Closed ended: Are you going to ... Do you ... Will you...

Open ended: What do you... Why do you..

I'm not in sales but I am in education and a similar rule applies. Higher order thinking is probably a good idea when trying to sell someone on Paul.

OK, here goes:

Don't ask:
"Do you agree with Ron Paul's stance on Monetary Policy?" Answer: No:(

Do ask:
"What are your thoughts on Ron Paul's Monetary policy?" Answer: "I don't really know, I haven't heard them." This opens an opportunity for dialog on the subject.
