Like the rest of you, I just heard the unsurprising, yet gut wrenching news that none of us expected this early. Senator Paul will be dropping from the Presidential Race.
But that isn't the end of the line. He will go back to Kentucky, to be a Gadfly and a Champion for Liberty in the US Senate. That is not a bad thing. It allows him to have considerably more influence than he has right now. Maybe we will see him again in 2020, maybe not. Either way, this man is is a Patriot.
But now what? What do we do? Should we leave this forum and go about our lives? Should we just keep quiet until election day, then pull the lever for the best of evils? Maybe use our vote for protest on a 3rd party candidate? That is your choice. But I have a better plan.
This is our Republic. Our influence in it is not limited to the Presidential Ballot. It is time to seek out and create Liberty Republicans, Classical Liberals, Constitutionalists ect. in our own communities. Maybe it's time to take the steps ourself, and run for office. What is stopping us from writing OpEds in the local paper, hosting townhalls, and organizing formal redress of grievance? This is our Republic.
Sure, we can go pout in the corner. Or we can actually take this time to Organize a Revolution. Are we willing to put forth the effort to actually make a difference? Are we capable of continuing the Crusade that our Founding Fathers began?
This is a war for more than just policy: It is for Liberty.
