A protest vote makes sense

Do ANYTHING other than fall for the lies, bullshit and scare tactics.

Obama = Romney.

Vote NOBP.

Vote LP.

Vote CP.

Abstain (and let everyone who will listen know WHY in no uncertain terms).

Hell, if it's close in your state, vote Obama.

But if anybody is serious about reforming or working within the GOP, until we demonstrate once again, that without us, the GOP loses, every time, you can not, MUST not vote GOP.

Only problem with that is your write in will likely be thrown in the trash. They really don't track it....at least not seriously.

So you can write in Ron to satisfy your ego, or you can throw another vote to GJ in protest, that will register, that will be noticed. Your call.

It will be a difference between the number who voted and the number who voted for the people on the ballot for president, and that DIFFERENCE in the numbers tracks my protest vote.

Actually, in my state, a dozen of us can file to be electors without Ron even being involved and have him an official write in who is counted, though.

Epic post. Only when the GOP is forced to embrace us or embrace losing will our voices be heard.

I agree. If you can't write in Ron Paul in your state, then whatever you do, do NOT vote Romney. That is really the only thing that matters at this point. (Assuming something miraculous doesn't occur in the next couple days.)

Still hoping to see Romney in handcuffs before November. I think that would be wonderful payback for all this corruption.

ARE there Ron Paul supporters who WOULD vote for Romney? I hope not.

I don't think any true supporters of liberty are going to be voting for Romney or the O. I won't and I didn't vote for either party in 2008's prez cycle, but publicizing this also doesn't do any good either, in strategy. If people in this movement need to be persuaded or told not to vote for either of the 2 at this point, our educational pursuit has failed misserably. LMAO

^^THIS

Anyone but Obamney. Or nobody. Don't vote if you don't want to. Makes more sense than what most voters choose to do.

Half of the people in our Ron Paul meet-up group caved and voted for McCain in 08, after the fact, a few regretted doing so

The same thing happened here in 2008.

Not half, but a sizable portion.

The same thing will happen again in 2012.

I think I will be voting for Johnson as well. Just as a protest vote. Agreed, if Ron was on the ballot then I'd vote for him. I don't agree with Johnson on everything, but I don't consider him a lesser evil like the other two. There's a difference between evil and not Ron Paul. He may not be Ron Paul but he's not evil either. And especially in the case of a third party protest vote, the vote is intended to give credibility and press to the ideas of said party and less about the actual candidate since it's unfortunately guaranteed that they won't actually win.

Lesser of three candidates is still a bad choice. in johnson's case, i wouldn't use the word evil, just extremely dumb. I'll be staying home; never understood the "i must vote" mentality. I'm one of those people who never cared to vote until Ron Paul came along.

Oh to me GJ is a lesser evil. Just maybe much lesser than the other 2. He's an interventionist and he's not really an Austrian economist.

Johnson has no idea what he is. Calls himself socially liberal, fiscally conservative, but ask him anything else and his eyes will glaze over.

Yeah he's not the brightest, or the best Libertarian candidate by a long shot. But still, I see it less a protest vote for Johnson and more a vote for libertarian ideas.

When you see what we have planned for the 5th of November, all your questions will be answered.
We mean on that date a complete and total destruction of the Republican party as we know it today.
Here's a hint what will happen; R for Revenge. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I hope you are right but doubt that you are. I don't even know what you are talking about. :D
