A Plan To Get Digg Stories Popular Again

Choose all times convenient for you to Digg on Digg

FYI: It takes less diggs to get on the front page at off-peak hours such as 3am.

I had 3 digg front page articles in the last 30 days. Each one brought 15-20k of traffic to my site

Digg is currently down

Does anyone know what changes are being made to Digg? Could it be that people won't be able to mass Bury a particular candidate anymore? Such as Ron Paul?

I don't think any special action is needed. Just if you see a good story you think should be on the front page digg it, there is enough supporters now that if a good enough story that isn't too repetitive is posted it has a good chance of reaching the top. I don't think we have to worry about buryers, when the time comes and a story needs to be heard or a call of action(MI GOP headquarters:D ) digg will be ready.

Just don't overload digg with Paul stories or people will be annoyed, I'm sure most on digg are well aware of Ron Paul, don't worry good stories are still getting through.

Digg is a amazing site:)

We could add a RSS feed to this forum can't we? I've seen them on other sites... like at the top or the bottom of the page.
Josh actually did add RSS recently but it's not advertised, it's on a forum-by-forum basis:
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=2292

Ideally, all non-critical diggs should be listed in the "Phone & On-line Action" sub-forum:
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=44

An RSS for it can be had here:
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/external.php?type=rss&forumids=44

If things go well it could get it's own sub-forum.

I quit digging stories because people were complaining, and rightly, that people were digging up any trash story that had the string "Ron Paul" in the title. I still digg stories, but only truly good ones.

I think the best way to go about it is to have a well-known source (like this site) host an RSS feed as someone said, and have various blogs and myspace folks host RSS widgets on their page. So you can have any new diggable articles distributed over many blogs and sites. HOWEVER, this should only be done if people are encouraged to read the articles and if the people posting know how to keep the posts to a minimum so as not to upset too many people by overdoing it. Yes you can overdo it.

So basically, setup an honest-to-god news feed for real Ron Paul news.

I found one really great widget but I can't remember the site, but another widget site is here:

I was only trying to help. But I concede this is a flawed plan. I've only recently come to join this forum and other such places on the internet, and I realize other people have done so before me. This feels like being a freshman in high school again and all the seniors are sneering at me.

I have a revised plan with an improved objective that I will post in a few minutes.
