I have a solution. All salaries will not kick in until the blimp has been airborne for one month. And no retroactive pay. If people can't get by for a month, they should take a side job at starbucks or whatever.

They already said that

I'm pretty sure thats whats going on already, possibly minus the no retroactive part. They are committed first and foremost to getting the blimp off the ground. If more money comes in to keep it afloat after the first month they will take the over head out first then start applying the cash to more flight time.

Money gets spent in this order as I currently understand it:
1. Lawyers. Yuck but unavoidable.
2. Paying that first month to get it off the ground.
3. salaries.
4. Additional flight time.

Don't know about the retroactive pay or not.

Are you with the Liberty Advertising group? If not, why are you posting this thread? I think that's their decision to make. You can choose to support the Blimp project or not, but unless you're on the board, I don't see what gives you the right to post this poll. Have they asked you to make this decision for them?

No retroactive.

If these people are so desperate for money they can't hold out a month they should not be doing this.

Blimp is #1 and trumps all payment considerations. If it is possible to launch the blimp and supporting services/pay people we will. I think everyone at Liberty Advertising is pretty commited to taking NO pay until the blimp is off the ground. Once it is off the ground we will have purchased one-month of air time for it and at that point I think taking pay would be fair.

I hesitate to offer constructive ideas for a project that I will not support as long as it has that embarrassing-WHO IS? defacing it, but here you go, I can't help myself from suggesting a way to finance the blimp-ocracy:

Why not have 2 or more separate sub-projects one can donate to. For example the front web page could read something like this:

$48,875 Blimp Rental costs purchased
$500 Blimp Executive salaries purchased
$2,150 20 cans of white paint and a painter to paint over "WHO IS?" graffiti purchased

Fine. One month from the day the blimp lifts off with no salary, and no retro. I think if you guys agree to this the controversy will be over and we can get the blimp up without further discussion!

They're being very reasonable guys, and the information is all now up and transparent. These sorts of threads have become unnecessary.

I think you misunderstand. On the day the blimp lifts off, it will have been paid for in full for one month. On that day they will begin taking salaries, when possible. That is about as fair a compromise as I can see.

Blimp is number ONE? Are you crazy? The number one, as you put it, is getting Ron on the ballots and getting the delegates all lined up. THAT is number one!

Then, perhaps we should chew what we have already bit off and not make Ron Paul into a liar. We TOLD HIM that we would bring in more on 12/16 than we did on 11/5. Did you forget?!!!

What is with all these new posters pitching the blimp? Where did you come from? Are you one of the many who stand to profit from this blimp?

Do Ron Paul Revolutionaires not believe in merit based pay?

If the people who run the blimp project perform quickly and effectively, they should be paid in a way that reflects it.

Well, we will not be paid anything until the blimp is flying. I do know this much.

What's your objection to "Who is"?
