Good luck, but some people are hopeless. I have a relative who was so excited about Ron Paul that he asked me for a yard sign. Then he saw Huckabee in a debate talking about the bible and being a Baptist minister etc... and he said he's voting for Huck now. I asked him why, and he said: "Because he's a baptist pastor and I like the way he talks." (stunned for a second at the stupidity of the answer) then I ask him: Isn't what someone does more important than what he believes or says he believes? I asked him if he supports the Iraq war, and he said no. Favor illegal immigration? No. Favor tax hikes? No. Favor increasing the dept of Education? No. Want the income tax? No. Even after all that, he says he will vote for Huckabee. Make no mistake about it, there is a very significant portion of Christians that now think like many muslims. Their main concern is not government policy, justice, and liberty. Their main concern is having politicians that mirror their theological beliefs and who fight to legislate theology. Irrational but true. (Speaking as a former evangelical Christian).
