A hypothetical I've thought about if RP doesn't get the nom...

Voting in protest for Obama would only be interpreted as an endorsement of Obama. The only protest vote that would make an impact on the punditry and system is 3rd party because it is quantifiable as neither D nor R. Not voting at all would just register as nothing because a significant number of people would have to abstain in order for there to be a measurable increase in the usual number of people who don't vote anyway. That's not gonna happen.

I'm sure the moneybomb will do just fine. Highly doubtful that this thread will have any impact on it. Plus, this topic has been on my mind for a while, and just got around to posting it.

There really are two choices in the unlikely even Ron Paul actually loses the nomination. 1. Ron Paul endorses a 3rd Party candidate or 2. Ron Paul becomes a third party candidate. Now those of us who talk about voting on principle when we hear that voting for someone "unelectable" is a waisted vote should see that voting for Obama or voting for one of those other republican war mongers is a non-choice. That's why I think Ron Paul won't commit to not running third party because if there's no third party person he can endorse than he'll have to run to give the people a principled choice.

If Paul doesn't get the nomination, I'll either write-in Ron Paul or vote Libertarian or not vote.

The American people are getting desperate. And they have a lot of free time, being unemployed. Look at OWS. I'm not imaginative enough to figure out what they outlet will be, but I predict if Ron Paul is not the nominee and doesn't lead the people in some other direction, you're going to see people looking for other ways to disrupt and stop the status quo from parading onward.

Think about how much worse the economy will be by summertime and by next november. and the wars... people are getting PISSED OFF and remember, the only reason the corrupt and power-hungry have been able to do everything they've done is that americans live like kings, even the least well-off of americans are still living well enough that they're not going to dedicate the majority of their time to trying to change their government.

Which, again, is why I say that although I hope and pray Ron Paul wins the nomination, I'm extremely curious to see what would transpire if he doesn't.

I also think the recall efforts in Wisconsin have been an interesting development, along these same lines. The people have tremendous power when they're willing to really put some effort in.

How about we get a petition together where we pledge to use our organizing efforts to get obama reelected if Ron is not the nominee then send it to the media. Use it as sort of a ransom.

Then they'll be doubly sure to smear Ron Paul...

No. Just no. People don't like to be threatened and truthfully the establishment G.O.P. would not care.

Ron Paul is the only chance the Republican party has to beat Obama. He's the only one that captures the younger voters & independents. The rest inspire no-one

I will do what I have done in every presidential election since 1988, except one. I will vote for a third party candidate, usually LP or CP. I have been a registered Republican since 1988, but the GOP needs to earn my vote by running a candidate that runs on a conservative domestic and foreign policy. I don't vote for the lesser of two evils, and I certainly will not vote for Obama as some sort of punishment strategy if Paul doesn't get the nomination.

But honestly, I strongly feel that Paul can and will win the nomination. Everything that is taking shape here points in that direction, and barring any unforeseen circumstances I can see Paul winning the nomination handily.

If you want to vote for Obama that is unfortunately ....great....for you.....maybe. But PLEASE don't go around EVER saying that in other forums in debates ESPECIALLLY to likely Republicans who already hate us and our candidate. Do I need to explain why?

For me

(((((NO ONE BUT PAUL)))))

I think voting for Obama is every bit as bad as voting for Newt. I can't believe anyone here (and I know it's only a couple people) would seriously suggest it. Whatever happened to voting on principle?

You would take your hand and cause it to _register a vote_ for the long legged mack daddy GQ cover model and toss this miasmatic load of stinking wishy washy effluvium out here on this celebratory day when Ron is doing quite well. And you regurgitate this flakey idea here as though this is a serious mode of thinking. You are either morally bereft, have not a principle left after the MSM virus has cored out your mental functions and replaced it with their virus, or yer bullshitting and low level trolling. For those in the thread being lead by the nose by the OP op..get a frakkin' grip on yer ass. If yer that easy yer never gonna pass the Earth exam.

Why do these OP types always sound like little schoolyard bitches gossiping behind their "friends" backs when they try this "sneaky" crap......
