An elegy is a lament for the dead. In this case, a dead culture.

Mass immigration and technology both are eliminating the possibility of gainful employment for tens of millions of men, and that bears part of the blame. But the cause of death is also in large part brought on by bad parenting, bad cultural choices, and just all-around laziness. Of course, the two reinforce each other: the external factors make it more and more difficult to find a job, the increasingly prevalent long-term unemployment makes it more and more socially acceptable to be a man without a job, the next generation follows the bad example and takes it even one step lower... on and on it goes.

Sad.

Don't let this happen to your or yours. Seize control. Discipline. Focus. Achieve.

I haven't heard of this guys book until now, (I didn't listen to a 1/2 hour video!)

But it's one I will read soon, there's not much difference between the hills-n-hollers of Ky. and the Ozarks...
