Antitrust Laws: In my view it was understandable that Roosevelt wanted companies to be smaller, that being said he proposed a the wrong solution. The main reason that trusts were large was because of patents which enabled an exclusive access to technology thus enabling the efficiency of large integrated firms. Roosevelt rather than prescribing the solution was trying to treat a symptom of copyright. In My view copyright is a government created distortion, though not everyone would agree with me on this.
FDA: The FDA has become a regulatory busy body purely serving the interest of large drug companies.
Foreign policy: The Spanish American war was not needed and has created a bad precedent of empire building and interventionism.
