A Campaign for Liberty Tour

Well, I've been toying around with the idea for quite some time now. What would your reaction be to an organized Campaign for Liberty tour with keynote speaker Ron Paul? I'm talking major cities and on dates appropriate for Dr. Paul and his cohorts, of course. I live in New York, and could not get the idea out of my head. I mean imagine Dr. Paul speaking to a live crowd outside in New York City.

How do you guys feel about this? I mean, with appropriate preparation and tons of money raised (as with the Presidential campaign), I can foresee quite some media attention. Especially outside of Wall Street for example.

That's totally understandable, which is why the tour dates, in my estimation should be dates widely spread out. It's all up to the Gentleman from Texas after all.

Maybe like 3 a month? 1 in each State? Thats like less than a year and a half. And the final appearence can be like our next major event. ( Nov. 5/Dec.16/R4R)

I can see Dr. Paul capping off his trip in front of 50,000 in NYC.

I'm confirming that, indeed, the C4L already has these things in the scheduling phase.

In addition, Ron Paul will most likely be appearing at the regional summits. 6-8 locations nationwide.

If you haven't already joined C4L, now's the time !

Definitely make sure you get to the Universities. We need the youth, that is clear.

I think this is a great idea, it's exactly the kind of thing we need to extend the grassroots support all over the country. Especially if ron runs in 2012.

This is one of the best ideas to come out of this forum yet! Hopefully ron would be up for it, but he is a very busy man, and he isn't getting younger.

I understand that we need to awaken the youth in the universities to the startling truth behind Austrian economics, etc., but I see it being equally important to garner support from the older generation, who in turn can educate their families about the virtues of liberty.

On another note, I'm sure we would need a huge sum of money to get things prepped for something in the Big Apple.

Thanks to the gracious support of Larry Leppard, we were able to run the entire Freedom Tour. It cost ~$23k only. But we did have so much amazing help.
