A call to all Catholics on the Ron Paul Forum

If you are Catholic on this forum the past several days should have sickened you. News that the "Vatican" and even our Pope endorses a world bank has been used to unleash the most hateful bigotry I have ever seen against the Catholic Church that would even make a fundamenatalist shudder. If I were on Stormfront, I would expect it.
Despite evidence to the contrary:

The administrators of this forum refuse to do anything about this and continue to allow this kind of hate on thier site.
I am beginning to see now why people think Ron Paul followers are crazy.
Is Ron Paul aware that this kind of hate and bigotry is being allowed IN HIS NAME????
Why Catholics do you sit by and allow ancient myths and lies about the Catholic Church (long refuted) to be spread? How can you belong to a group that hates our Mother Church with such intensity? Unless you are CINO I cannot understand it.
If it doesn't sicken you then please stop calling yourself Catholic.

I will probably be banned for this, it doesn't matter because I will not be back. And I am withdrawing any financial support for the Ron Paul campaingn until Paul himself puts a stop to it.

I am calling on ALL CATHOLICS on this forum to boycott this site until the administrators take action on this issue.
Goodbye.

I am a Catholic.

I am fine with people having their opinions about the religion. It affects me in no way.

As a catholic it doesn't bother me what people say. On a side note I don't think the Catholic church should be worrying about banking.

Oh relax.

If I wanted to boycott this site whenever someone disagreed with my church or theology, then I would have left long ago.

Courageous people weigh their theories in the realm of public opinion and they are able to deal with criticism from all sides. If the mods started banning people for criticizing a particular church or theology this place would get thin pretty quick.

Instead of calling for boycotts, join in the debate and make your case.

I was raised Lutheran, which means that any time that could have been spent discussing the finer points of Christian theology were instead squandered on the ins and outs of why everyone else is wrong... and Catholics get a lot of it.
Nevertheless, I think things may have gotten personal.
If you haven't left already, you should stay.

"Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints." Jude 1:3

I'm not Roman Catholic. Neither are those who are doing this.
We have not heard your side of the argument. If these arguments are long refuted, we do not know about it.
By not giving us the refutation you are doing your church a disservice.
Especially here. We are strong-worded, but we are also listeners.
We will listen. We will probably also respond. But at least then we'll know what you're talking about.
We'll also know what is likely to offend in the future and will be more likely to reword or omit it.

You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Your OP is nothing but vinegar. Now give us honey.

Well ain't that a bunch of excuse making.
…It is in this spirit of discernment that the Holy See, with the note of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, wishes to make a contribution which might be useful to the deliberations of the G-20 meeting”.

Bishop Toso explained that the aim of the note is “suggest possible paths to follow, in line with the most recent social Magisterium, for the implementation of financial and monetary policies…”

I have nothing to immediately add to that, because the very authors of the document make clear how it should be evaluated: namely, as a “contribution” (as opposed to a mandate), as a “possible path” (as opposed to a moral proscription), in line with the Magisterium’s social teaching (as opposed to introducing a new teaching), without getting into the technical issues (because the Church is an expert in humanity, not economics) while fully staying within the Church’s religious and ethical functions

Yeah, that makes it so much better. The church didn't mandate new global financial taxes and a world bank; they just suggested it as a possible solution to world leaders. Get out of here with that.

Internet... Its got all kinds. If the good Dr can handle ridicule, so can you.

I thought this thread was going to be a call for Catholics to petition a change of opinion from the Vatican. That would have made more sense.

I'm afraid this thread is just another invitation to continue the same comments and criticisms you were hoping to stop.

And if there's one thing you should know about Ron Paul - he doesn't tell anyone what to do with their minds, bodies, or time - not even his supporters.
(Besides, he's sort of busy these days.)
I am withdrawing any financial support for the Ron Paul campaingn until Paul himself puts a stop to it.

Um. Yeah. OK. Given that Ron Paul refused to play the "I am accountable for my supporters' personal opinions" game back in '08 (when he refused to return or decline to accept campaign contributions from racist nut-bags), do you seriously think he's going to dance to your tune in order to get your money?

And even if he did, what, pray tell, do you imagine he could do to "put a stop to it?"
