Thats ok, because we don't need a majority.

I'm still sceptical...
http://www.godlessinamerica.com/tompaine.html"But it was with the publication of Common Sense that Thomas Paine became the voice of a revolution. It was the first American best-seller. Published in January, 1776, it sold 120,000 copies in the first three months and from 200,000 to a half-million copies within the year— estimates vary. This at a time when the total population was only about three million people.
John Quincy Adams would write, years later, “Paine's pamphlet, Common Sense, crystallized public opinion and was the first factor in bringing about the Revolution."
It seemed everyone was reading the argument for independence. Rev. Theodore Parker, a Unitarian pastor and social reformer, said “Every living man in America in 1776 who could read, read Common Sense, by Thomas Paine. If he were a Tory he read it, at least a little, just to find out for himself how atrocious it was; and if he was a Whig he read it all to find the reasons why he was one. This book was the arsenal to which colonists went for their mental weapons.”
Paine’s words sent a shock throughout the colonies. With a writing style that was clear and direct, he made the case for independence in terms that all could understand. The cause of America, he wrote, was the cause of humanity.
Within six months of the publication of Common Sense, the Declaration of Independence was being drafted. Within the year, the American Revolution was under way in earnest.
Only 10% of the population of the US supported the Patriots, and the fight for the first American Revolution.

Historical parallels anyone? As shit gets worse, its only going to get easier to wake people up. Ron Paul's Revolution: Manifesto, is the Common Sense of today.
This is just the beginning.
Republican/Democrat. Who cares?
Both parties are cash cows.
What happens as the economy implodes?
It's too late to repair the inevitable.
Tough medicine.
Conza your 2 other threads of books and documentaries were great but here I think you outdid yourself. Great work.
As the economy implodes, theres going to be a lot of people seeking answers. We have to be there to present the logical solution. It is contained in Ron Paul's book. But further to the point it is nicely summed up in -"The government is the problem. Not the solution." We need to be there to disseminate the message.
“We are continually faced by great opportunities brilliantly disguised as insoluble problems.” ~ Lee Iacocca
Thanks Fields! It's much appreciated. A man, does what he can.
Unfortunately my friend,
Your scenario is overly romantic.
Common sense, and analytical observation is not the first phase.
The first phase is fascism.
Check out Mussolini.
What part of the First American Revolution didn't you understand?
Apart from stating the obvious, I'm willing to say - it was the beginning.
Anywayyy... this thread is for waking people up, NOT "not giving a shit, it won't change anything type of bullshit attitudes". That defeatist attitude can GTFO.
Why don't you go ahead and get chipped now. I hear they have early bird rates.![]()
The Tide is Turning!!
Posted May 12th, 2008 by Nui
The tide is turning. My wife and I were out antique shopping in some of the smaller towns in Texas.
Towns such as Schulenberg, Bertram, Burnet, Lampasas. The winds are changing and we could tell from just chatting with store owners. In quite a few of these towns, the people we talked to would be described as elderly, over 60, conservative and many of them Christians as far as we could tell. Why I say that the winds are blowing another direction is that only a year ago, the general consensus when we would be traveling around Texas and chatting with people was Bush this, Bush that. Let's go get them in Iraq. The war is good.
Well, from the temperature this weekend, it has changed. These people were mad. Mad , Mad. They were actually swearing. Using words such as crooks, liars, etc. They were talking about how the fellows up in Wall Street were a bunch of crooks. Had one group talk about
lynching would be good for a group of them. Now, I would have to say that these people that were expressing
their anger were feeling betrayed. I think they now know that they have been lied to. Betrayal is a funny thing. It will create an anger that is very deep. They were putting two and two together and realizing that finance, government, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, media were working together and stealing from the middle class. Lying and stealing. The media was a topic of conversation and most of them cannot stand to watch the "crap" that is on the news nowadays. Most of these logical thinking people realize that something is very wrong. They are waking up.........
I think they should watch Outfoxed before these two:
Aaron Russo's: America Freedom to Fascism
The Truth & Lies of 9/11
If you read them the titles, that alone would scare them off. But I think they'd watch Outfoxed.
Thanks Conza, a lot of people have really enjoyed your 'list'
Great post Conza.
Thank you for sharing this major undertaking.
Good work! Conza is that you? You little joey....
