The report by The International Council on Security and Development (ICOS) policy think-tank showed 92 percent of 1,000 Afghan men surveyed in Helmand and Kandahar know nothing of the hijacked airliner attacks on U.S. targets in 2001.

"The lack of awareness of why we are there contributes to the high levels of negativity toward the NATO military operations and made the job of the Taliban easier," ICOS President Norine MacDonald told Reuters from Washington.

I am suprised anyone in Helmand & Kandahar know anything of the outside world .

They were against us before they were against us, they just didn't know it.

Maybe we should start a fear campaign in Afghanistan and tell them how evil they are.

Leaflets.. hurry, someone drop leaflets all over those cities so they can learn they are there to be saved!

Well you know maybe if we didnt prop up warlords and oppressive regimes throughout the region then more people would have access to media in the Middle Eastern world.

They were against us before they were against us, they just didn't know it.

They agree with the policy they just dont understand the message.*

Parody of what the dems said about the 2010 election fallout.
