Went by and added some 'Truth in Advertising':
Local story (DFW area) on Obamacare: 192 people losing their jobs as 9 Carl, Jr. restaurants close SPECIFICALLY because of the new requirements. The franchise owner could not afford the increased costs for healthcare, nor the fines for not offering it. His part-time workers all said they could NOT afford the exchange healthcare even WITH the subsidies. The owner is a member of a local franchisee group and they've come to the conclusion that most franchisees with less than 20 fast food restaurants will have to follow his lead of closing up to half of their locations.
Watch as 'closed' signs go up all over the country. Business owners; if you are forced to do this, PLEASE list the reason for the closing in BIG lettering on the closed sign!

I don't see why they don't do like standard oil did and start having a lot of companies with 50 employees or less. Each store could be a stand alone company. I'm sure lawyers could find a way to do this for franchises

Make the recipe proprietary and sell the franchise owners licenses to use them, like licenses for software?

She's so poor she can't afford a new pair of shorts! Those have unraveled almost to the point of non-existence. And now she lost her job? There's always stripping....

One of these fellas would get her a pr of shorts.

Shouldn't every business who lays off employees or converts full time employees to part-time explain to them that it is because of Obamacare?

I hate Obama and dems even that much more for costing those 2 lovely ladies their jobs. Goddamn, just look at those abs, its like they were made by god himself :)
Indeed! Now they'll have to work for Jack In The Box or something. :(

I remember going to a Carl's Jr. in Wichita Falls, TX that used automated touch screens for ordering food. Customers would walk up, tap in their orders on a very easy to use screen, and then someone would bring their food to the counter. I'm surprised more fast food franchises aren't doing this, because it worked a hell of a lot better than most fast food cashiers I've talked to.

Seems like a good solution for this business owner.
