71-year-old wrestled to the ground for questioning Paul Ryan

I'm saying that Ryan is not at fault for attempting to salvage a trans-generational ponzi scheme.

put soc. sec in the defense budget. problem solved.

i'm 60 btw. you must still be a snot nosed punk.

This must be what Mitt meant about being a 'severe Conservative'.

That Ryan cracked a joke while the guy was being taken down shows what a douchebag he really is.

Edit: That video is from last year.

I used to tease my wife for being 6 years older - "Ya know honey, when you got married the first time, I was THIRTEEN!!

Then I realized she'll retire six years before me...:eek:

Looking at average life expectancies,, we figure we can grow old and go out about the same time. ;)

Met when I was 30, she 42, the age difference has always been irrelevant.

How are you supposed to prepare when the government makes the dollar you earn today worth fifty cents in the span of a decade? After stealing up to 50% of the wealth you create when you initially earn it?

There's no way that inflation is 50% in 10 years. There's just no way that's accurate.

Do you realize that if you eliminated the DoD overnight by pocketing that 1 trillion dollars it would do very little to avoid the crunch???? Deficit alone is 1.7 trillion. We're spending roughly 12 billion per day. 365 x 12 billion. 4.3 trillion a year.

That guy is a delusional fool. That money was spent a long time ago. I hate boomers something fierce. YOU WERE CHEATED. GET OVER IT. DON'T MAKE DEALS WITH THE DEVIL AKA THE GOVERNMENT! PREPARE ACCORDINGLY!

Little FYI. The deal was made before boomers were born. And I have another FYI - If you had spent your entire life paying into a system that was "guaranteed" to be there for you, you'd be pissed too.

That will stop when it stops. ALL of it.

At that point someone is going to claim that they OWN us.

then things get interesting.

When the sovereign wealth funds and China finally say "Enough with supporting the greedy americans and their 2+ trillion annual deficits."

I was thinking when the Rothschild closes out their Ponzy scheme. (Fractional Reserve Banking) And collapse the whole system.

but whatever.

Don't forget, as boomers die, those checks do to, thus reducing the socsec deficit. I expect a boomer die off to start in a grand fashion in about 10 years.

They forced us to pay into now they try to tell us they can't keep their word?

If that is the only expense we have to face perhaps it should be the ONLY tax we have to pay, even if it is again.

P.S. Have you noticed that we used to be paying into retirement plans but now as time to cash in comes into view there are no plans just companies paying out of pocket. What was all that, if not a crime.

Old people have a right to be angry to the extent that rather than cutting the military or corporate subsidies the first thing on the block is Medicare/SS.

SS is an immoral and inefficient system and should be ended, but I would rather end the foreign aid and all wars first.

Paulie Ryan disagrees though, he wants more money overseas and so does his friend Mitt Romney

Yeah, well, we gotta be a GLOBAL ECONOMY, doncha know. The IMF wouldn't have it any other way.

I think that's where Obamacare comes into effect with their medical review boards.

Dramatic video: 71-year-old taken to the ground for questioning Paul Ryan

I've had it with the GOP and their henchmen! What a DICK Ryan is!!!! (Can I say that here? :confused:) How disrespectful - "I hope he's taking his blood pressure medication." This makes me ill.

From YouTube:

As Congressman Paul Ryan cracked a joke about him, Tom Nielsen found himself face down on the floor being handcuffed by police. The 71-year-old retired plumber from Kenosha was thrown to the ground, placed in handcuffs, and arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest after objecting to Ryan's plans to gut Social Security and Medicare during his congressman's only public appearance scheduled during the August recess -- a $15 Rotary Club luncheon in West Allis on Tuesday.

Nielsen repeatedly told police that he wasn't fighting them and that he didn't want to make any trouble. He also told them several times that he had a broken shoulder. Police officers ignored his comments as they wrestled him to the ground despite his howls of pain.

Nielsen's comment to Ryan at the luncheon, his arrest, and Ryan's joke are all captured on video available here.

The video speaks for itself, but the net is buzzing like this is a new story. It happened last year.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) luncheon on Tuesday was disrupted by demonstrators, including several who were arrested while protesting the Wisconsin congressman.
Both pro- and anti-Paul Ryan demonstrators gathered outside the Greenfield, Wis. banquet hall Ryan was visiting for a luncheon with the Whitnall Park Rotary Club, according to Patch reporters Denise Konkol and David Cotey.
Ryan attempted to make light of the situation at the start of the event, saying "apparently you Rotarians don't like free lunches either. ... Welcome to a 'new normal' in Wisconsin."
Several protestors who paid to attend the lunch attempted to drown out Ryan by standing and shouting questions during his remarks. One woman asked, "When are you going to create jobs, Congressman?" while another man criticized Ryan for avoiding the topic of unemployment, saying "We're three minutes in and we haven't heard the word 'jobs' yet."
According to Patch, about a dozen protesters were escorted out of the building, and another dozen left the speech willingly. Three were arrested and given municipal citations.
Police told Patch they warned protesters in advance that they could face arrest if they disrupted Ryan's speech.
A different vid of the same event.
People act like Paul Ryan's medicare/SS/budget plans are going to throw people out on the street. All they do is slow the marginal rate of increase, and it's like he wants to eat puppies.
All the World's a Stage.
