60 Mins. Segment w/Peter Thiel ... clip on Supporting Ron Paul

man wat the fudge?? Let me guess they don't want to shock people in California that a rich gay guy is supporting a Republican like Dr. Paul?

And they don't want him to influence the primary only MSN talking heads are allowed to do that.

Bingo. No mainstream mentions of Ron Paul will be allowed to air while the conventions are ongoing.

I don't care if he likes fucking sheep, if he believes in liberty then he's a friend of mine. Seems like a couple posters on this thread want to bring up "identity politics" for some reason. hmm

I'm in Indiana and I didn't see the Ron Paul clip either.

I am glade more big business type people are getting behind Ron Paul that are not for the one percent like Peter Thiel and paypal. The more influence we have on people in high power the more we can finally get to the establishment people.

I watched it and didn't see any mention of Ron Paul. The interviewer kept taking the side of these bloated universities though and that was aggravating. Peter was trying to explain that it makes no sense to go deep into debt to get a poor education and have no job prospects and I completely agree. Most people I know that went to college are doing far worse than those that didn't go and saved their money. So that's 60 minutes, towing the line of the bloated schools while Peter tries to talk some sense into them.

Statistically that is untrue- those who go to college are incomparably better than those that didn't go.

That being said it is undoubtably true that colleges are far too expensive nowadays. I went to the Ivy League, and I had no problem going into debt to pay for it- it was worth the prestige and the education, not to mention the contacts. But fifty thousand dollars for, say, the University of Michigan (which is a fine college- and I believe that is for out-of-staters) is already pretty insane, not to mention no-name universities that charge the same.

Ok, this guy should be starting the Cable News Channel we're all looking to start watching - Ben Swann, Judge Napolitano, etc.

Our movement's Ted Turner/Rupert Murdoch! To the mainstream!

Now that's a great idea!

Whatever happened to golibertygirl? Put her on!

So you want 10% of his net worth to promote your political adgenda? Whats your net worth? Can you give 10%?

Peter Thiel is awesome. I hope he keeps investing in the liberty movement. If he were to invest $100 million, just under 7% of his net worth, he could really advance our movement. I wish I had that kind of money to do the same.

Peter...If you read this PLEASE PLEASE contact me....I have the television studio, personnel, equipment, and the business plan to make it happen. Just need the distribution funds!....

Overall a great 60 minutes.

They rag on Peter for investing in some "outlandish" projects. I bet most people would invest in some outlandish projects if the had 1.7 billion dollars.
