They have learned. That is exactly where the money is going. Early states. The campaign are in the process of rolling out a $2.5M spending blitz in the early states. I hope at least 60% of that goes into Iowa.

Not everything should go to Iowa. Huckabee won it and it ended up not helping him get the nomination. That being said, if Ron does not win Iowa or at least place a very very strong second place, he will not win the nomination, so certainly the lion's share of money should go to Iowa. I'd actually say about 85 to 90% should go to Iowa and New Hampshire. If Ron wins them both, he'll be nearly impossible to beat. Were he anyone else he would be impossible to beat, but given that the establishment would probably sit down all the candidates and have them all drop out and endorse one specific anti Paul candidate, he'd still face something of a challenge.

So were I running the campaign, I'd put almost everything into the first two, while stockpiling 10% for SC. Risky, but this is one area I want Ron to be liberal on.
