just letting people know

to count on me for Friday night, but I can't do saturday during the day for sure.

I don't have a T-shirt? Where can I get one on short notice?

My idea for a slogan is a little more on the cutting edge, but these biker groups are always being harrassed by the government:

"Fight Government Oppression - Preserve Liberty - Vote Ron Paul"

Y'know, I'm hoping this TMRA chairman can come through on this, and don't want to rain on the parade (pun intended ;) ) BUT ..... the parade stages INside the rally grounds, and it COSTS to get in there.

There are always a few bikes who crash the parade along the route --- is that what he has in mind? Or has he got some way to get non-paying people inside the gates to ride as passengers?

I'd just kinda like to see whomever is in contact with this guy check on the logistics here, just so everyone's on the same page, y'know?
 
Indeed, Chris, Paul Davis or myself will check with the state chair about the staging. My, if we can get a headcount tonite, how bout it folks? A short ride of a lifetime for Ron Paul.......who wants to ride?
 
Anybody aware of some T shirt shops in Austin that apply block lettering?
I'm thinking of a front and back navy blue with white large block lettering T that is as simple as:

Chris, Austinphish and others, Paul Davis will be joining us here this evening, he gets off work after a bit. Lets see if we can get Nate to join us, anybody know how to raise him? I think they had a banner party a few nites ago creating Ron Paul Revolution banners. I gotta hit the showers and begin my work week, I run to Dallas nitely with a large truck and a couple trailers in tow.
 
My general thoughts so far on the Austin Group

These are just my opinions:

1. I would like someone from the grassroots leadership (or executive committee) to take charge and decide for us exactly what the plan is for the major events. Just tell us when and where the meeting times are, and what the general outline is.

2. We have to recognize at somepoint that there are 10x more ideas than possible actual actions. I am not saying don't share your ideas, but this goes back to someone in leadership reviewing all these ideas and picking the few that are feasible.

3. I think it would be nice to have a calendar application on our website, where people could post when they are meeting up and what they are doing. For something as large as the COT rally, leadership would be responsible for setting that up, but for something as small as banner making, anyone could set an appointment. I think people could also post on there when the are "free" to help, so say a group of us decide last minute we are going to hang a RP sign off some overpass - we could check the Calendar for who is free and give them a call to join us.
For example, I would add on the calendar that tomorrow night, 7:30 PM at Starbucks Anderson Lane, the Legal & Finance team is meeting up. Anyone interested can come (btw, it is not that interesting :) )

4. I would like to push again that a lof of the email conversations be pushed to this site (www.ronpaulforums.com). If we all agree as a group to check this forum, we can keep a record of our coversations, and then only the important notifications can be sent via email. That way, I won't miss an important email that is directed to me.
This point is apparently very hard to get across.


In conclusion, I love this group and I am proud to be a part of it. I am just offering my opinion on how to make us more effective in the cause of electing Ron Paul.

Flyers Comming

Just so you guys know, I have been asked to make some flyers for this
today, and Ill try to have them done tonight.


But has anyone else already made any flyer designs, if so send them too
me at [email protected] and Ill look over them and layout what I
think works best. Nobody has to make a design though, I wont have any
problem putting one together. Ill get an amount printed, but you guys
that pick them up can make more alot more yourselves.

I could probably take the flyers to Brave New Books and drop them off there
and Whoever wants to can pick them up whenever they can.

It sounds like itll take a little guerilla tactics getting around to people attending the parade, but whatever works. If you think positive and think things will
work out as they should, they often turn out even better. So just go and
see and often the right thing will happen at the right time and youll be
very successful. Dont fret thinking you will locked out with nothing to do,
even if you are, just give it time and look for opportunities.
