The magic number should be 6 states! Check out rule 39

RULE NO. 39 Record Vote
If a majority of the delegates of any six (6) states severally shall demand a roll call vote, the same shall be taken of the states in the order hereinbefore established.

So we could make motions and roll calls from the floor with 6 delegations, correct? That would be interesting.

Jeremy, in that case, we will have six states for that without difficulty. We can use bound states in that determination. Our people are only bound to vote for Mitt, not do what his campaign says or what is in the best interest of his campaign.

Yeah, that sounds right. So NV and possibly Mass can count for this. Although I don't think they count for the 5 needed for Rule 40 sec. b.

Correct.

We will likely have WA, LA, IA, MN, and ME for the five at the convention. This doesn't even include any possible action in MT or NE or AK or CO.

Then we need one more for the six at the convention. NV and MA would fit that bill. So even if they try to toss ME on a technicality we will have 6 states to do a roll call and highlight Maine is missing.

For the purposes of this maneuver, couldn't we try to get Santorum and Gingrich supporters in on the fun too?

Especially when working on the platform… things will certainly be interesting in light of Romney's outright rejection of free-market economics, and liberty in general.

If the Gingrich and Santy people are really as conservative as they say - they should have no qualms with forcing some issues.

I think what this Means is if there is a motion we can require it not be passed by aclaim which as we know is just the chair saying who is loudest. Then they have to do roll call but can still do it electronically unless we have even more votes

It is still so early in the Race that by the time we finish, we are going to end up with a LOT more than 5 or 6 states. Not all of the States have had their State Conventions yet.

We better have some good parliamentarian types there to pull this stuff off. maybe this should be in hot topics as we don't want people to know that's the plan?

If we take over the chairmanship of RNC.. I will lol.

When it's clear Ron Paul can't win, make Ron Paul the National Party Chairman!! LOL LOL LOL. I thought something like this WAS the plan....LOL LOL LOL.

this is being openly discussed in a lot of places. it's the kind of thing that would make us more motivated, so we all should know about it. it's something that we could be doing ourselves, getting in there as delegates. We need people who like Ron Paul to be delegates.

Holy crap.... I've been away for a while because I figured it was pretty over and getting depressing, and then I come back to find out that you guys have been doing FUCKING AWESOME, HELL YEAH RON PAUL!!!

I'm so happy :)
