$5 Million quarter may be doable - ticker is lagging -- per source from within campaign

Here are your transaction details:
Donation amount: $37.79
Transaction date/time: 2011-07-01 00:07:38
Transaction ID: 9WB15228AH4887145

I donated a couple days ago but just now sent in an order for a t-shirt, a wrist band, and a new yard sign. The timer was already stopped but I'm CENTRAL time, and I think there's like a couple hours left so I hope this got through.

Thank you for you generous donation!

Plus offline results, will we be more than 5 million?

I'm leaning heavily against that. Sources in the campaign have been quoted at 4.5 million for the quarter so i believe they didnt quite hit 5.0 mill. Secondly, i believe the majority of offline donations were being entered into the system last night thats why the ticker was moving so incredibly fast.

ABC News has edited their story about Paul raising $4.5 million and said campaign sources are saying Paul will report over $4.5 million.

That wasn't the campaign. That was a fan page that REALLY needs to SAY it is not the official campaign.

Campaign sources said MORE than $4.5 million.
That doesn't mean I think it will be more than $5, but I think 2nd place is very likely.

During the last campaign, offline donations tended to add about 200,000 to the totals. We could be looking at easily 4.7 million. Not too shabby.

And Ron was in New Hampshire at some sort of dinner last night...

Well, we'll find out when everyone else does, I guess!

Where was Bachmann? I consider her to be a wild card. We know she is transferring at least $2 million from her congressional account.

Don't think she was in the article but if her numbers were to put her in front of Ron, im pretty sure it would have been mentioned in the article.

I don't think they know. All I've read is speculation about her. She may be planning on surprising people, if she is higher. People who think she won't be higher are saying 'she just started' ignoring that she had her account open as long as Ron did, and a money bomb to 'convince her to run'.... whatever.

My point is that if she did outraise ron and thought she would be in 2nd overall, she would have a rep from her camp call up the AP or whoever wrote the article and had them include her figures.

unless she had considerably more and wanted to have an article to herself 'above the others'.

I'm glad Ron's total isn't known yet, either.

July 15 is when they file, but I'd expect we'd know next week. Pawlenty announced his because he wanted to bury it as best he could in the Friday newscycle before a holiday weekend.
