No it doesn't. It doesn't resonate with the young people either, yet. Nonetheless, it is key.
Yeah, but it isn't a marketing point until it is understood.

That's right. You gotta show up, you have to know what you are talking about, be respectful, and become a delegate to win.Yep-the Internet generation supporters of Ron Paul are great at winning online polls like yesterday's Drudge online caucus but not very good at winning real elections so far.
It is worse than seldom addressed, AARP ran an article (at least on the web) about a month ago saying Ron thought social security and medicare were unconstitutional. Papers say it all the time, and the implication is that he would do away with it.
And it is obvious from these forums that the message of sound money is not widely understood. When Dr. Paul says, "Everyone who believes in freedom must work diligently for sound money, fully redeemable. Nothing else is compatible with the humanitarian goals of peace and prosperity." That means everyone.Yeah, but it isn't a marketing point until it is understood.
Some don't use the internet. If you see a breakdown of who uses the internet, the largest block that doesn't use it AT ALL and may not even own a computer is over 55. The internet didn't really exist until the nineties and a lot of old people had habits set before then.
Those who start to use it love it, (my mother does) but there is a holistic world out there without the internet, unless you wonder about something enough to look it up, it is easy to think the news on TV is news. I did myself until about 2006, and I DID use the internet, regularly at work, just not as my primary news source. I read google front page when I logged in, but didn't search for news.
The rich do not want to lose their wealth either but they will as inflation takes off. They also do not understand the message of sound money.Err -- I was just saying Ron's message is appearing to resonate best among people who're young & poor, not the older & rich (who could be called the establishment).
So the older generation and the rich will listen to the message if communicated properly. It is to their advantage."In the absence of the gold standard, there is no way to protect savings from confiscation through inflation. There is no safe store of value. If there were, the government would have to make its holding illegal, as was done in the case of gold. The financial policy of the welfare state requires that there be no way for the owners of wealth to protect themselves. This is the shabby secret of the welfare statists' tirades against gold. Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the 'hidden' confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in the way of this insidious process. It stands as a protector of property rights." - Alan Greenspan, Gold and Economic Freedom
Phone from home; follow the script; become a delegate.I don't have anything against running an education campaign, but this is Ron's last campaign, and I'd imagine getting people interested in Ron, who pours out ideology every time he speaks, is itself an education campaign. So, my short-term goal is getting Ron as many votes as possible.
It isn't government controlled, and elastic money is theft.I'll get on with preaching ideology once campaign season ends. As for sound money - I have no problem with fiat currency, even if it's elastic, so long as it isn't government-controlled.
It is not a perk. Sound money is honest. Fiat money is dishonest. As far as irredeemable currency and peace? Greenbacks = Civil War -> back to sound money = relative time of peace -> Federal Reserve Act of 1913 = World War I in 1914... and perpetual war since. The proof is in the history. It's a nice perk to have a currency redeemable for something, and having competing currencies legalized would allow people to use representative currencies if they wanted, but I disagree everyone needs to use that particular kind of currency for peace and prosperity.
A President Ron Paul gives us the best chance for liberty, peace, and prosperity because he understands the issues so well. I'm calling on phone from home when I can, I am precinct captain, and I am running for delegate. But the revolution doesn't stop until it is won.So... if the choice is whether I'm focused on legislating representative currency specifically or getting Ron elected, I'd much rather have Ron elected.
Paul needs a social security commercial:
have him sit in front of the camera and say, "The debt is out of control, we need to rein it it, my plan cuts one trillion dollars. I do it though without touching social security and medicare! It's all foreign spending, we need to take care of our citizens before we go and spend hundreds of billions overseas."
BTW... Sound money and a foreign policy of peace and honest friendship are inseparable. That's the dirty little secret the media doesn't want out.
Draconian cuts are scaring the shit out of everyone. Noone wants to lose their jobs in this economy. Education, defense, Ag, etc. So many people are scared in this economy.
Next, Ron Paul is legalizing Heroin and Cocaine... (Every person 60+ has said this)
Next, Ron Paul is Dangerous...
Ron Paul is a Libertarian/Anarchist...
Ron Paul is Unelectable...
This is where professional Sales and Marketing people are needed to run countermeasures against the other candidates and the media. Then the same to use on the viewers, listeners, and readers.
Until this is resolved, the older voting groups and ignorance will prevail.
WARROOM... time to earn your money.
PS: Ron did NOT even win the 30-44 age voter group in Iowa. he was 2nd behind Romney. AND Romney's "Leader" Ad hit home in Iowa and so-far in New Hampshire.
Ron Paul's budget plan balances the budget in three years---
without cutting social security, medicare or veteran's benefits!
A fiscal conservative plan with the right priorities!!!!
Already happen, now that the Eurozone has stolen $5 Trillion in Energy from Libya...THIS ^^^^^ can't be said enough!!! You can't have one without the other. ALL the other candidates ignore this and talk about reducing the debt while expanding the military. IT'S A LIE AND CANNOT BE DONE!!
Romney has said he wants to double the Navy and Santorum wants air strikes on Iran now. Those statements are fat targets for RP.
Already happen, now that the Eurozone has stolen $5 Trillion in Energy from Libya...
The European Union just announced a BAN on ALL petroleum products from IRAN.
The Game... control the energy, currency, and regimes, total rule.
This goes to the heart of it. First rulers must control currency, then regimes, then resources.Already happen, now that the Eurozone has stolen $5 Trillion in Energy from Libya...
The European Union just announced a BAN on ALL petroleum products from IRAN.
The Game... control the energy, currency, and regimes, total rule.
Indeed. "it's the underlying reason why the establishment is so opposed"Fiat is the cancer.
