Bob Barr is quite possibly the worst candidate in the history of presidential politics. He has avoided every single noteworthy event that could gain him free and/or significant media attention. I'm not sure what he's doing, but it's obvious he's not trying to be elected.

I think he is listening to Russ Verney. Russ hasn't figured it out yet that when you don't have piles of Ross Perot money to campaign with things are different. But I do certainly agree that the Barr campaign has to be the most disappointing in LP history given the promise it had and an economic meltdown to boot. I very much doubt he will rival Ed Clark's vote totals from 1980.

The article says "The only question mark is Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party candidate. Mr. Barr has made it clear that he will only debate Mr. Nader and no one else. " It doesn't say that he arrogantly declined. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, just so I don't sound like an ass-like the mainstream neocons did when they attacked RP.
