30 Mil 4th Quarter Goal?

Paul doesn't need more money

Not at this juncture. The campaign has more money than it knows how to manage effectively. More money would likely just encourage waste and poor decision making. And we - those who have been donating all along - need to recuperate our donation muscles for 2008.

The campaign needs to get its act together with regard to strategy from here. In particular, I think it needs to come up with a cogent argument that Paul is actually THE strong national defense candidate. The pieces for that assertion are all there in Paul's prior position statements, his voting record, world facts, and a little logic/imagination, but the campaign management needs to bring things together. It's really fumbling the ball on this issue and on some others.

But what the Ron Paul campaign needs from us right now, most of all, is feet on the ground. Those of us who have vehicles but haven't yet turned them into moving billboards need to get with the program. A couple hundred large vehicle signs per city could definitely have an impact.

I just bought 500 DVDs today from http://www.ronpaulreveres.com/. I guess that means I'm committed to either hand them out doo to door or climb to the top of a local high rise and use them as Frisbees. :-) (which would really get me committed).

Anyway, enough money. More action. More education. It's shocking how many people in this country have never bothered to read the Constitution, haven't a clue what the 10th Amendment says, and don't know the difference between a Democracy and a Republic.

The people of the United States can be classified as follows:

1) those who are now awake
2) those yet to be awakened
3) those on the teat of the current fascist system who might want to break from their addiction to the status quo but don't know how.
4) those who are, effectively, enemies of the Republic - only nominally American by virtue of their citizenship but actually and actively opposed to the Constitution and, therefore, not Americans at all. There's not much you can do with these folks except not waste much time on them.

Being that Dec. 31st is two weeks away, that would allow most people one more paycheck before the end of the year...we could set up a "money bullet"...set it up for donations of $20-50, that is only a couple of meals out or not going to see some movies on the weekend to some people...others I know it would be more difficult and have given all they can. I agree though, let's just keep donating and having fun...I never knew donating money to a politician could be so FUN!

My point indeed. This stuff grows exponentially.

If only 1 person convinces just another person to get to know Ron, this will be a huge movement.

All we need is to get people to know Ron through mostly Youtube and his message will take care of them.

Remember: Ron Paul cures apathy.

1 trillion dollars by January 1st! I'm down for a million, who's with me?

unfortunately you are capped at $2300

Probably what will happen is what happened after Nov 5th
people who never heard of him will by sheer luck run across some news story or some one gossiping at work, they will check out the website, read up, win some converts and should see some nice uptick from new people btw now and end of year

I assume pretty much everyone who already converted threw their money in today (for the most part) to get most effect out of raising a large # to raise awareness, so the campaign will need some new converts

anyhow the money is in for now, lets hope to see a lot of ads in Iowa/NH/SC and some rising poll #s

agreed

today the statement was made - this was shock and awe. But Americans have attention span of 3 year old kid.

the same statement does not need to be made every 3-5 weeks. The 'machine' that is the internal campaign is overflowing its coffers and needs to use it effectively. It will be a challenge to use this much of a flood at once without being wasteful; much like the gov't it is attacking :)

the other machine is the people in the grass roots. They can parlay the advertising that will now be coming through the central HQ, with their efforts.

Thats how it should go from here for next few weeks ...

If every current donor can convert one family member into a "new donor" over the Christmas Holidays, then we could do this exact event again on the 31st.

That could push us to 25 Million for the Quarter without costing the current donors another dime.

All Ron Paul needs for Christmas is 1 new donor from each of us.

Donation of 100$ =100$
Converting a new donor = 10$-2300$
Getting a friend or family member to support Liberty = $$Priceless

I think if we push for donations we are doing it wrong. Push for people to get to know Ron. For them to research Ron and find out about him.

Just get people to search for Ron Paul on Youtube.

His views take care of the rest.

Some people will not be able to donate, but if only they get the fire burning within, this will become a huge movement.

I think we have seen nothing.
