Thomas Piketty has been all the rage lately but another progressive being mentioned in the same breath has been Elizabeth Warren.

She is beloved by the left and a new progressive leader - but she has some strange opinions and I thought I would share with you.

*She has championed a $22 minimum wage which she says is what workers deserve to earn - if capitalism were fair.
*She has stated that in her belief there is no evidence that a minimum wage causes unemployment.
*She claims that trickle-down economics doesn't work: "The data don't lie on this. He's got good historical data, and boy, what it shows is trickle down doesn't work. Never did, doesn't work." - she says, talking about Piketty.
*Another strange claim of hers is the following: "During my Senate campaign, I ate a number 11 at McDonald’s many, many times a week. I know the price on that. $7.19. If we raised the minimum wage to $10.10 over three years, the price increase on that item would be about four cents. So instead of being $7.19 it would be $7.23."
*Her degree is in speech pathology and audiology for whatever thats worth.

Some are touting this lady for a Presidential run in 2016.

Im sure it won't surprise you to learn that she has never run McDonalds franchise, nor apparently, any business whatsoever.
She has worked in academia for decades and then moved over into government jobs in recent years.

What do you make of this kind of person? She appears to have no real knowledge of anything as best I can tell. Maybe thats what makes her perfect for the left.

Sounds great. Now let's add in that any employer you wish to work for has to hire you regardless of your qualifications or work ethic!

because clearly you are constitutionally guaranteed a job.

Clearly. blargh, blargh, blargh, "promote the general Welfare"

Spells it out clearly enough. Just need to have some clowns with gowns rule on it.

Want my vote?

Sure, let's make a deal...

Bring back those McD's Angus meals, compromise the minimum wage at $220/hr. and 37.5 hours/wk., throw in healthcare, two weeks paid vacation and an indexed 30yrs any age or 25/55 starting @70% of last five years salary life pension plan!

And to make it a slam dunk deal, if she repeals all drug laws, it'll triple guaran-damn-tee ya' that chickens will be flying out of every pot!

Why not?

i am still waiting , screw kudlow/laffer .

At some point they'll have the make it illegal to go out of business.

This reminds me of when Ralph Nader was running as the Green Party candidate. I wish I would've saved that Green Party platform. It was hilarious. A few highlights that I remember: $12 minimum wage. $120 maximum. The top 200 corporations to be nationalized. All radio stations had to give 8 hours of free time daily to whoever Nader decided in the name of "Fairness". I always cringe when I hear Nader described as a "consumer advocate". He's a hard core totalitarian.

New Hampshire and Louisiana don't have general minimum wages.
The unemployment rates in NH and LA are 4.5%

Oregon has the 2nd highest minimum wage. It's unemployment rate is a very high 6.9%! That makes it 1 of the 10 worst states in the nation.

I saw an interview with her on The Daily Show, and she comes across as the phoniest POS in politics, at least to me. The liberals in the audience were swooning over her every word though, just like they were with Obama when he gave that DNC speech in '04 or '05. She comes off as a progressive (whatever that is), but I think she's a white Obama in drag.

Don't underestimate her though, I think she could beat Hillary if she ran against her.

Have you notice the ternd with all these democrats announcing minimum wage/living wage PR campaigns for the mid-term elections?

Anything to take the spotlight off those liberals that pushed Obamacare/taxes/forced fines/failure "Pass It so we can find out what's in it HC.
