Yeah narcissist A$$.. Stealing Rand's voters with Goldman Sachs money! That's why Rand needs to question his own approach and look more towards Ron's. I agree the ideas are the same, but obviously Ron does or says something that gets more people fired up!! This isn't Rand's fault it's the ideas stupid ignorant people that attend this shit..

FOX is saying Bush still has 59 million in his war chest. It's probably the advantage of robbing the taxpayers blind, giving taxpayer money to banksters and other criminals; them those criminals return the money to your campaign. I suspect the results now are from smaller more rural caucuses and the big caucuses where the youth turn out will take longer to report. So I predict rands standing will only inmprove from here as the night goes on, the inverse will be true of the other candidates, bringing the results much closer.

25% is now in. That's a representative sample. Rand is going to finish 5th with 4-5%. It's basically over. Oh well. At least Trump might lose.

The truth is our issues aren't appealing to the base. They want action, whether it be tough talk and action against ISIS, a border wall, etc. There's a reason why the top 4 candidates arguably offer nothing but personal qualities. Trump is the bomb-thrower populist, Cruz the self-proclaimed conservative fighter doling out read meat, Rubio the robotic neocon with his programmed statements, Carson the soft-spoken evangelical.

Rand and Jeb! arguably often the most in terms of substance (different blends, yes, but arguably the wonkiest) and they have just been steamrolled by bluster. It's unfortunate, but there is nothing that can be done about it.

Good synopsis. Add in that there is roughly 1/3rd of the old, crusty, white rural people who want nothing more than a big government that will do nothing more than provide their SS and Medicare, bomb all Moooslim countries and get rid of those damn Mexicans. If Rand would have said Moooslim and Mexican every other sentence really pissed off every other sentence we would have won in a Randslide ...without my vote of course.

You've got to be freakin' kidding me. In a "very fiscally conservative" area's caucus site, RUBIO wins and Paul gets like 4%. Rubio is one of the least fiscally conservative candidates. Paul, the only true fiscal conservative running does poorly??? What is the IQ of Iowa voters??? Do they even care??? Sorry I don't usually go after things like people's IQ, but what I mean is...it's like nobody is even trying to save the country.

The field 4 years ago was so much more thin and awful you cannot compare Rand to Ron. There was no Ted Cruz 4 years ago who basically tried to steal the popular issues we have and mix them in with some more bluster and "tough talk" on foreign policy issues. Trump is also a much more effective populist than Santorum, and appeals much more than Santo did to less religious voters.
