2016 Iowa Caucus Thread

Anyways, they let Ron get all the way up to 21% and 3rd place last time around. There isn't any rationale for "the powers that be" to keep Rand at 4-5%. He simply doesn't have any support. Blame Cruz. That Canadian asshole shouldn't even be running for President

i think a lot of them voted for Ron, not necessarily liberty candidates, but Ron was a personality and a bad ass. Rand isnt up there on his level.

I've been hitting the snooze a lot. Did put some $ in.

I gave him what was left of my stolen bitcoin. Unfortunately, where I am at it is pointless to participate in national politics. I struggle just to get people whom I finally convinced that Ron was right 4 and 8 years ago, to realize that Dump Truck is full of a steamy pile of shit waiting to back up into their living room.

So, from what I understood is that Paul had the following:
1,000 Precinct Chairs (Will try to bring people)
10,000 Devoted

I would assume we have more than that, but how much more? Why did Rand do so poorly in the smaller districts?

im afraid Rand wont even get 10,000 votes

I just turned 28, well tomorrow, and this is the first election cycle that I am highly involved. I have grown attached and I blew up on the board, I apologize. I just can't stand people who do not try and point their finger and say ah ha I told you that your efforts are futile. I apologize to all on this forum.
No, we get it. We've all been through it a few times now.

So it looks like Democrats are voting in the GOP caucus in huge numbers...currently with 57% plus in - Democrats have a total of 9700 votes, while the GOP 58,000 votes with 38% of the vote counted. Looks like someone is trying to swing an election

We cant change these stupid peoples minds,folks.. they are under a spell.. Only thing that can fix this is an act of God, some kind of a miracle. The computer program knew just what to do to lock up the votes, hence Trump. We are not dealing with just people, but an entire system that has technology doing the dirty work for them.

That's ok. You are not the first, nor will you be the last lol.

It was originally part of a broad strategy to show his appeal. When he double-downed on it, I believe that came around when he was stuck at 2-3% in early autumn, I began to become concerned that even they knew things wouldn't go right.

Yeah, every time Rand mentioned the "college kids" I cringed. I didn't wanna be negative so I said nothing about it. What message does that send to the older people watching? This is the young kids candidate, not mine.

But I don't blame Rand. He tried different strategies and none of them worked because people are just plain fucking dumb fucks.

We felt the same way in 2008 and 2012. One must be part masochist to support liberty and the Constitution in this morally-decaying nation.

Rand Paul endorsing McConnell and others was his death knell. The Paul campaign should have flat out said McConnell controls the state gop in KY. He is being punished because less than 200 people decide the rules of over 1.2 million registered gop voters.

You're not alone. We are going to do what we can to keep them out of the Rand forum because after tonight it's on to NH.

That is what is totally screwed up with this caucus. You can register to vote on the spot, or change your party affiliation on the spot; just to f'k with the GOP primary.
