2014 NFL Season **OFFICIAL THREAD**

Everybody can argue over what did or should have happened but it was a great game to watch. Especially all that action in the final two minutes of both halves. Not quit by either team. (I doubt my Bronco's would have been close against either of them).

I wonder how Green Bay would have done?

I don't think passing the ball in that situation was a bad call. But passing the ball OVER THE MIDDLE was a terrible idea to me. The whole defense was in the middle to defend the run. A much safer play would be to fake the handoff to Lynch and run a bootleg with the option to pass.

Or a corner end zone receiver catches it or no one does pass. Anything but that pass. That pass call combined with the Patriots letting the clock rundown play after play makes me think the NFL told the Seahawks to lay down and let NE have it.

No, I'm honestly wondering what you're talking about with regard to the refs here. They screwed up a roughing the kicker in the first series, missed a Patriots defender tripping a Seattle receiver, made a ticky-tack call for a late hit by Seattle, and missed a blatant helmet-to-helmet hit on a Patriot receiver. Otherwise they let em play and I loved that.

I don't really feel the need to discuss specific plays when they without question cheated in this SB. They got 3 rings by recording their opponents practices among other things we will never know. Then they get busted deflated balls, the very thing that would allow them to post such incredibly low fumble rates over the past decade and we are supposed to believe that they choose the SB as the 1st game in the Brady-Bellichick era that they don't cheat?

BULLSHIT.

Agree. Was saying that right after the play.

Yeah, I was stunned when I first saw the pass go right in the middle of all that congestion. And I didn't even realize it got intercepted right away. I was like, "what the hell are they doing?" Then a second later I figured out it got intercepted. I didn't care who won but I felt bad for Wilson. He looked sick after that.

You have to go to full site mode to put people on ignore. Such a hassle.

Heh. I see you went back and edited that.

Hey, you have to admit that you were wide open for that one.

Ah, well. It reminds me of that old line about win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat.

the pain....it still bleeds. Make it go away.
I know how you feel...I still see Dez catching that football, and then...oh, no. :( We need an NFC playoff team support group. (I'm not making light of your pain...I really do know!!)

It should have looked like the one before halftime with the receiver going in instead of out; instead of using the umpire, Kearse was to push his defender in front of Butler. Wilson was supposed to throw it away as soon as he saw Kearse was getting stuffed.

Seattle was running out the clock and about to score a TD for a 3 point lead...why were the Patriots not calling timeouts?

I can only think of one reason.

Because Belichick is a god damn genius. I understand the butthurt, but the Pat's were the better team.
