That Packer loss against fucking Buffalo may have cost them the Super Bowl.

I knew that game would be tough. Surely they did to. How the fuck do you lose that? God!

Only 2 49ers. And both from a position we suddenly need to drastically improve. Starting by not being the team to pay Iupati like $15mil a year.

I'm really hoping we get a 1st and 2nd Rd haul out of Harbaugh at least.

RANK

1

11-4 SEAHAWKS

''That was nothing short of championship football we all witnessed Sunday night. Seattle darn near played a perfect second half. Steven Hauschka's missed kicks aside, it is becoming increasingly difficult to foresee a team knocking off the defending champs. If we had to nitpick anything, it would be all the penalties -- maybe someone could show Michael Bennett the neutral zone. (It's that area of space between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire, as set forth by the Organian Peace Treaty.)''

Chargers- Chiefs. No cigars. Chargers win and they are wild card. Only one touchdown and only two of eleven on third down conversion (KC was only two of twelve though) to go with two interceptions, a lost fumble, and eight sacks given up. Even had first and goal from the three and could not score on four tries. They are out. Chiefs need help- Houston and the Raven have to lose. It looked for a while like that might happen too. But both came back to win- putting Baltimore in as the last wildcard team for the AFC. Another close miss- KC didn't have a touchdown by a receiver all year. Dwane Bowe had his shot. He caught a ten yard pass from backup QB Chase Daniels but fumbled at the one. Fortunately for KC, his teammate, Travis Kelce, recovered in the endzone for the score.

Now in the AFC, a Denver win at home against the Raiders will give them a first round bye. Since New England lost to Buffalo today. Had Denver won at Cinci last week, they would be playing for homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. Seahawks clinch their division and first round bye with win at home over the Rams today.

Saints currently lead their division with a win today- pending the outcome between Atlanta and Carolina. But the Saints lose the title later today to whomever wins that one.

Marshawn Lynch fined 11 grand for touchdown and crotch grab.

The children, oh my... the CHILDREN....cover their eyes when the Seahawks play...

NFL...go suck a pickle

Yeah, no way was NO going to be allowed to win that game. NFL wanted a Panthers/Falcons playoff "win and in" game on the final weekend. My bet is on Panthers because of Newton's car accident. Makes for a nice "story" and Charlotte taxpayers are on the hook for around $120 million in upgrades to the owner's privately owned stadium.

Called it. See the trend yet? Panthers win in a blowout to be ushered into the playoffs. Taxpayers sure will feel like winners even though they're paying higher sales taxes and their publicly owned Convention Center development fund was looted to pay for upgrades to a privately owned stadium! Go team!

Follow the money. If you're a betting type, next season check to see which teams are receiving, or are about to receive, a windfall of local taxpayer money for stadium upgrades. You will have a good chance of correctly betting before the season starts on which teams will be playoff teams, aside from the usual perennial contenders like NE, DEN, SEA.

Ill go on a limb now and predict the Browns as a playoff team next year based on this trend. Chargers and Rams also.

San Diego wants a new stadium. Why were they kept out of the playoffs?

Seahawks #1 seed and home through playoffs in NFC.
#2- Green Bay
#3- Dallas
#4- Carolina
#5- Arizona
#6- Detroit

AFC- New England #1 seed
#2 Denver
#3 Either Cincinnati or Pittsburgh
#4 Indianapolis
#5 Pittsburgh or Cincinnati
#6 Baltimore
Aaron Rogers carted off the field with ankle injury. Returns, limping and hopping, but guides Green Bay to division title- even rushing for a TD.

Tampa Bay will have the honor of the #1 draft pick- Tennessee goes second. Rest of Top 20:
3. Jacksonville (3-13)
4. Oakland (3-13)
5. Washington (4-12)
6. New York Jets (4-12)
7. Chicago (5-11)
8. Atlanta (6-10)
9. St. Louis (6-10)
10. New York Giants (6-10)
11. Minnesota (7-9)
12. Cleveland (7-9)
13. New Orleans (7-9)

15. Miami (8-8)
16. Houston (9-7)
17. Kansas City (9-7)
18. San Diego (9-7)
19. Buffalo (9-7)
20. Philadelphia (10-6)

I still can't believe the Packers lost to shitty Buffalo. I knew they had to win out in December, and to have lost to that feggin team... I just hope it doesn't cost them a trip to the Super Bowl.

Bills beat New England today as well.

Want in one hand and shit in the other and see which fills up first. Having said that....

Has any deal been negotiated for taxpayer money or free public lands for the Chargers? I can't find any confirmation of impending deals, just pre-positioning on negotiations following the same path as the Panthers and Bengals deals. A SD deal would be finalized during the upcoming off season. If SD gets taxpayer funds and/or public lands for a new stadium, book them as a likely playoff team the same year. Notice I didn't predict the Falcons as a playoff team since their new stadium project is funded by hotel tax increases (not local taxpayers generally) and private investment, according to the press releases, but they are also a possibility if there are cost over-runs that end up being dumped onto ATL taxpayers. eta: I see the Bills are getting a bunch of tax money for stadium work too so they're another to watch, particularly with their end of season "push".

What do you mean they had to win out? You know they got a first round bye right?

Yeah, but they're not the #1 seed in the NFC as a result.

Several teams could now have a #1 seed if just one or two games had gone differently. If Seattle had beat the Rams or Chargers they would still be #1 too even if Green Bay did win that one. Coulda. Mighta. Everybody lost to teams they probably should have been able to beat. Had Denver beaten the Rams or Seattle or Cincinnati or New England they would be #1 AFC team. What matters is what you do from here on out. New season. What happened in the regular season doesn't really matter.
