20/20 Interviews Ron Paul because WE ASKED FOR IT!

I think if this gets a mention on the show, it'll drive people to watch the videos online. Conveniently, they'd be in a perfect position to visit his site right after watching them.

Assuming they do mention the interview series during the actual show, this could be a very good thing.

They did mention it at the end of the show...told people to go to the website. I suppose this is better than nothing. I wish there was a way to convince them to broadcast the interviews.

I got a greenlit FARK headline coming up at 4:33 AM linked to this interview.

[HERO] Ron Paul tells John Stossel all about hookers and blow.

That's the link, but until it hits the main page it'll only be available to TotalFarkers.

If that seems a bit crass to you, you don't understand FARK. It's the sort of thing they love, so don't worry about it.

My other Ron Paul Fark threads-

[HERO] Ron Paul on marijuana: "I would absolutely never use the federal government to enforce a law against anybody using marijuana"

[COOL] What do Pat Buchanan, Rosie O'Donnell, Barry Goldwater Jr., and now Bill Maher have in common?

I hope they will ask him about his war stance, ideas on foreign policy, and the government debt.

Call me jaded, but they will likely just focus on his 'wacky' libertarian take on hookers, blow, pot, guns, etc. I think that's bs.

John Stossel is well known as a libertarian, and those ideas aren't "wacky" to him or any other logical people.

Did the televised 20/20 have any Ron Paul content?

Because I will not watch another stinking network broadcast relegate my candidate to the internet. If that's what they're doing, then F them. F Stossel. And I hope the one unLibertarian thing President Ron Paul does is shut down these G-D networks and turn their signals to dust.

FFFFF Them. They'll probably do the next ten shows about Huckabee and why he'll never beat the best candidate, McCain. They will play it safe and talk about these sham candidates all F'ing Day.

Gee, I must sound pretty angry. Wonder why.

And I will say one more thing. I often watch Stossel on 20/20, but I will never watch that M-F'er again after this. If he thinks people will respond to this third tier treatment, he has another thing coming.

Christ, calm down. This is something they're giving Paul above and beyond their normal news coverage. Stossel is a well-known libertarian and is no doubt a supporter of Paul, as evidence by the fact that this is a spectacular interview.

That's the sort of crap that gives us a bad reputation with the media. It's one thing to demand fair coverage, it's quite another to go around throwing a childish hissy fit because the news is all about Ron Paul 24/7.

Show me the network news show that does its coverage of any other candidate on the internet rather than on the network itself, and I'll erase my post. This was a cowardly move. And Stossel probably isn't the one to blame, but if he had any stones, he'd have made sure the interview was actually aired. But as we know, he likes to whine, but never really has an answer. Small L libertarian? Sure. And the interview was good. But we're the only ones who will ever see it.

I have quit good jobs for less reason. Show some stones Stossel. You'd be hired by any other network in a second.

Did someone say Hitler?

:D

The McCain campaign oughta logo up this bloated gasbag and untether him to float up and down the west coast. Me could install a burrito belt and forcefeeding tube for auto-propelled flight

We do have the numbers to request it to be aired. If we got this far in getting him the interview, why not go all the way and get it on nationally broadcast television?

Don't copy it, just rewrite the points:

I believe it was a mistake for you to not air the John Stossel interview with congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul. Love him or hate him, he is definitely the most interesting and passionate of the presidential candidates. I believe it would do a good job at viewer retention.

I doubt they would have gone through the trouble of producing it just to post it on the internet. Does anyone know how much that costs? (seriously asking. I don't know) My guess is that it was intended for TV, but was killed by the higher-ups due to Stossel's libertarianism. In any case, it's a very good video that could convert "live and let live" types, and I'm sure the next ones will be just as good. Overall, it's a good thing, even if it could be a lot better by being aired.

A while back (like, June), there was a YouTube where Ron was asked about possible VP choices. I think Stossel was one of them.

They're gonna stretch it out.. will generate more hits and more ad revenue that way
