2 US Army soldiers, interpreter killed in Syria ambush attack, Trump warns of 'very serious retaliation'

"President Donald Trump warned Saturday that there will be "very serious retaliation" after a lone Islamic State gunman in Syria killed two U.S. Army soldiers and a U.S. interpreter in an ambush attack.

Chief Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell announced earlier that the soldiers and interpreter were targeted in the central Syrian town of Palmyra in an attack that left three others wounded. U.S. Central Command said the deaths and injuries were a "result of an ambush by a lone ISIS gunman in Syria."

"We mourn the loss of three Great American Patriots in Syria, two soldiers, and one Civilian Interpreter. Likewise, we pray for the three injured soldiers who, it has just been confirmed, are doing well. This was an ISIS attack against the U.S., and Syria, in a very dangerous part of Syria, that is not fully controlled by them," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

"The President of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, is extremely angry and disturbed by this attack. There will be very serious retaliation," he added."

Thank God for the American heroes who volunteer to make our country safe and to keep our enemies in check so we can sleep safely and soundly at night. I hope the president makes the people who attacked us pay a tremendous price.

The Izraeli Firsters love this.

They can't wait for this to happen, assuming they're not the ones responsible.

Hey, @Bryan!

Maybe it will stop if you quit feeding it.

It won't stop until its programmer turns it off. I just hope that programmer is paying @Bryan well for allowing him to use us to train it. If its programmer wants to waste his time and money developing defective garbage then somebody around here ought to get some of it.

I'm usually against banning people but I'd be fine if knickers bot was banned. I'd be shocked if even a single person here disagreed

It's not people you would be banning. I'm for it.

Two American soldiers are dead because the US never fully left Syria. They should never have been there in harm's way. Syria is not our problem and not a national security interest.

Trump playing a game of kissy, kissy with the terrorist leader of Syria and defaming the White House with his presence now has this tragedy on his hands as well. Has the White House become a landfill? Trump, stop the foreign interventions and start building a wall around Manhattan. It's time to implement "Escape from New York".

Keeping foreign super powers from creating a hegemony in any region of the world besides their own borders has been a national security interest since 1945 because we didn't listen to George S Patton and take out their threat back then.

If we couldnt do that then it wouldn't matter how much of a continental power we are we would have a lower standard of living than Mexico and we would not be able to defend our borders so that the people living inside our borders wouldn't be able to live in peace.

We all know that AI trains off the internet so I guess if you only ban people like me who love Americans and the american way of life then thats all the AI will be able to learn from.

That would be the "libertarian" approach...
The "Ignore" button works really well. The problem arises when other posters quote him, and then you get one of those "You are ignoring content by this member. Show ignored content" notices, which is kinda like seeing his lips moving but not hearing any sound. But having someone respond right after that is a bit like having a sign-language interpreter (you can sometimes figure out what the sign language interpreter is trying to tell you about the ignored post).

I also note that when it's applied to forums, it doesn't get those threads in those forums from showing up in "New Posts", or individual posts from those forums showing up in "Latest Activity"

You're a terrible American, you'd make the founders of this country very sad, they'd question their life choices and so should you

Trump just gave a great speech about this very idea of yours with a world without the United States.

He tells this story about his son and he says my son thinks he is a good hunter but if I died he would last about 2 days because he thinks he is a good hunter and he would make it out in nature but nature always wins.
