I had an extra ticket yesterday but released it back to C4L.
If C4L managed to issue all 800 tickets, they sure were secretive about it. Only a few hours ago, I chatted with Teri Capshaw (in charge of ticket sales) and she indicated that only "several hundred" C4L/YALers were on their way to NOLA and made no effort to discourage me from drumming up more attendance.
If they all went to Ron Paul supporters, we do indeed have a good chance of winning this. Only 568 C4L tickets were sold for CPAC and Ron ended up with 750 out of 2395 votes. So his support among non-C4Lers was 9.5%. So we could probably add a few more hundred votes for Ron Paul to the 800.
Estimates on SRLC attendance keep rising; the latest is 4,000. At SRLC 2006, 72% of attendees voted. So expect at least 3,000 votes this year in the more fiercely contested (it seems) straw poll.
