having worked at wal-mart myself, i can tell you that the worst thing about the workplace is the mgmt and the irremovable old folks that run the place, that and beating down customers for as a mechanism for containing/limiting their rampant stupidity is frowned upon.... though it certainly might have saved this guy's life.

f* dying on the job, i've always said that work is the one place where i absolutely refuse to die.

When the wheels fall off this crab cart, between the corrupt, out of control cops and the batshit, starving, feral mobs, you damn well better be well armed and know how to use them and be willing to use them. Even then, the odds are against you, but better to die standing on your feet than on your knees.

In what alternate reality are some of us in, to think that there can ever be any "education" of the roiling mob? In what bizarro world world can there be enough well made points and effective campaign strategies to think you could ever vote your way out this mess we are in, when stories like this indicate the mindset of the voting masses.

People who would do this, and I mean just standing around ready to riot over cheap Chinese shit at Wal-Marx, let alone actually trampling people to death over it, are so far divorced from my mindset and my reality that there can never be any unity of purpose, there can never be any reconciliation or common shared ground.

You people out there...fellow travelers...you want freedom, you want liberty? Well you better be prepared to TAKE it, to separate from the whole corrupt system and demand it!!!

Anything short of that and you are fucking jerking yourself off.
 
Walmart def does not need to be sued. The idiots who fucking trampled another human being to get some junk they could have bought any other day, should be arrested. Hold the actual criminals accountable not the store where it happened.

As you well know, the roiling mob in the South was once trained by the establishment to grind minorities under its heel just so they could know deep in their hearts that they weren't the bottom of the totem pole, and would therefore not lynch instead the politicians who were robbing them blind. They are now educated differently, and much of that institution is now gone. No alternate reality, my friend, though it does seem like it to some graybeards around here.

I feel the same way. How, though, do you separate the wheat from the chaff? Until such a predicament arises and you see who stops in their tracks and risks getting knocked down and trampled themselves do you know who is who.

Oh come on, this was negligence. If there is a mob of 1,000 lunatics who are there waiting since midnight to be one of the few who gets their hands onthe latest greatest video game that walmart advertises is in short supply, well this is no surprise. This no longer becomes a shopping experience, but an aggressive stampede of low iq morons.

Blaming the crowd for their own stupidity is futile. The herdlike nature of humans will not change when conditions become favorable, esp when it is encouraged by an ad campaign targeting the emotional, primal instincts of the human brain.

Humans are irrational, and savages when in large numbers without any control. It was up to Walmart to safeguard this from happening. From what I have seen on the videos, they had no more than a couple minimum wage kids open the doors, to get trampled on.
