2,000 votes could WIN Maine!

In 2008, the Maine Caucuses had less than 5,500 votes total!

So far this year, in the two counties which have complete results, the turnout is a bit lower.

All we need is between 2,000 and 3,000 votes to win Maine.

Hopefully this information can be used to help motivate Paul supporters to actually turn out and vote tomorrow!

Those who are unregistered or registered as unaffiliated (Independents) can register as Republicans at the polls and vote.

Every Paul voter just needs to drag a few friends with them to the polls!
 
Yep, which is why we will get second. Our supporters are good at stealing defeat from the jaws of victory.
 
deep down I feel paul supporters will find a way to lose it. It will be tough given how few votes are needed to win, but something tells me we'll find a way to get 2nd.

There are more counties than that that are completely done. Watch the vote just doesn't have that data. When it says "complete" it means "we think our totals are complete" when it has a p for partial, that means that they know they don't have the complete results.

Knox is done. Lincoln is done. Sadahadoc is done. Aroostook is done.

Androscoggin (Ron Paul will be speaking there, there's one caucus for the entire county)

Errr............doesn't it depend on WHO counts the votes?

I mean, chances are, the GOP will just do another secret recount behind closed doors and the extra 2000-3000 votes will vanish?

Sorry to be so deeply cynical but I don't reckon they will allow RP to win a primary or a caucus under any circumstances
 
I think we are all concerned with the larger caucuses. I hope Romney hasnt had any significant progress in trying to woo and sway the voters in those caucuses. I hope those voters will have enough pride and dignity to point the finger at Romney for ignoring their state until recently.

Need the win to get more donations!

I hear ya.

I hate to think along those lines as well but I think it would be naive to not consider the possibility that some GOP insiders would subvert the vote if given the opportunity.

Being on the ground is not the same thing as traveling with the campaign.

Being on the ground means "hold a sign outside of a caucus".

Traveling with the campaign means hanging out with Ron Paul all the time.

I'm in Maine. I did my voting last week. I'm just not sure that driving an hour and a half each way to hold a sign is exactly what I think should be done in my case.
I'm sure that it's a good thing to do, but consider the price of gasoline. I'm spending at least $60 of Facebook ads. Watching them. The campaign has not said "come one come all, we want a bunch of people running around trying to get people to the polls." I get the impression that they're on top of it. They have a system. The system is working. They are on top of it. The most highly trained from the caucuses in one county will be doing important things in other counties. I've been watching for evidence that there's a desire to hype hype hype, and I don't see it. I'm over on Maine for Ron Paul, and there is not a "must find people" attitude, beyond the system that they have in place. And they do have a good system in place. But I'm watching for any evidence that "go to Lewiston and drag people to the caucus" is what they want and I don't see that. I'm targeting men 18-34 on facebook. I'm hoping some of them show up.

People who are up right now aren't likely to be going to sleep before the caucus.
