I am a little slow and out of the loop on this. I just figured out that GunnyFreedom and Glen Bradley are, in fact, one in the same. Very glad I donated, now. How cool. Go Glen!

Glen jumps into a phone both and changes into tights and a cape to become GunnyFreedom! :D

Don't anyone blab about his secret identity!

OMG so beat - maybe cumulative 8hr sleep in last 5ish days.

Event went well but not the way expected. got out (between pre and post production) 900 handouts on Frederick Douglass with my name on it.

People just didn't show. The only loss was on the money for the banquet room, which was not too bad. everything else was pure positive. I am getting a personal endorsement from Lenny McAllister, and Kevin Daniels directed me to seek the endorsement of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, which I will probably get.

We picked up a few stragglers around the event space and really turned them on to the Constitution. I got to conflab in triangle between Lenny and Kevin from 6:30 PM until 3AM and then again from 7AM until 9:30AM.

The materials was no loss, because the reception was through the roof (even if people didn't show) the rooms were no loss because I got 10x the value back from the conference. The food was no loss because it was my contribution to the GOP picnic thing today.

The experience was priceless. I have never (and I mean NEVER) set up an event before, and now I actually know what I am doing and what to expect.

It turns out that both Lenny and Kevin have had the same experience as I did trying to set up such events, so they were not even a little upset.

Turns out to be a pretty big net positive even if there wasn't a direct audience.

More good came from this than I even said but I am so beat.

I am meeting Adam Kokesh in Raleigh tomorrow afternoon, and then on Monday doing a 70 piece signbomb. Then I'll basically rest up until RonPaulHawaii blows into town, and I know from experience in SC 2008 what kind of energy he has, and it's infectious, so from then to November It'll be non-stop dawn past dusk. :D

I didn't want to disappoint you - (hey I'm a contributor, don't shoot the messenger ;) ) but my experience has been that when you invite people to come to an event, about half a percent to maybe 1 percent of the flyers turn into bodies.

So, 900 flyers would be under 10 attendees... (And that's a really local event within a few miles of where they live.) I was crossing my fingers you'd get better response. Glad to hear you made lemonade from the situation.

Seriously, I put about 1200 flyers out once, to invite people to meet a candidate. I got about 6 to 7 people and they were mostly the neighbors I knew, that I had told about it. The sad fact is, that it's hard to get people off their asses!

I know Kokesh hosted a fundraiser for Mike Beitler on Friday, is he planning to do anything for you or BJ?
