On the TN ballot there are 11 RP delegates to pick, but you have 14 available votes for delegates.

There are also 5 more unplugged delegates.

Is it better to vote for only the 11 Paul people or to also put in some unpledged with the left over votes?

I voted for the Ron Paul delegates plus the uncommitted ones to complete the total. Here's en email I received from Tennesseans For Liberty...

In addition to voting for Dr. Ron Paul and those committed Ron Paul delegates at large (11) and in your Congressional district (3), we have found that there is a Ron Paul supporter who is an at large uncommitted delegate!

Please, VOTE FOR Robert Tyler Prince under the section of at large delegates in addition to the 11 Ron Paul committed delgates!

To clarify:

Vote for Ron Paul
Vote for the 11 "at large" committed Ron Paul delegates
Vote for Robert Tyler Prince an "at large" uncommitted delegate
Vote for the 3 committed Ron Paul delegates in your Congressional district

I'm a bit new to all of this delegate business. How does one become a delegate? Why do I have 14 available votes, and only 11 Committed Paul delegates?

Because we're short delegates to got all the paperwork or sigs in, etc to become a delegate.

However, I think a candidate can still compete even if they have zero delegates. Basically in this situation if the candidate does well, the GOP will assign delegates to that candidate. So if Paul won TN in a landslide he would get his 11 delegates, but then the GOP would assign him 3 more.

At least I think that's how it works..idk, but idk how uncommitted would factor in to this.

Do NOT vote for anyone who isn't already a confirmed Ron Paul supporter. If you only have 11 Ron Paul names for 14 spots then leave the other 3 spots blank. You'd be giving votes to establishment delegates who are competing with the Ron Paul delegates.
