11/5 Thunderclap Won't Send Out Unless we Get More Supporters (12 Left - Social Reach = 225k)

We are in the final week before the Nov 5th money bomb. I just wanted to stress that our Thunderclap campaign will not send out unless we succeed in reaching more supporters. This is very important in making sure as many people know about the money bomb as possible. We need to do a better job in promoting this. From now until Nov 5th, try to get as many Rand supporters as possible to join the thunderclap campaign here...

Post about it on Facebook, tweet it, tell your friends in person. Just do whatever you can to help spread the word and promote this. As we get toward the final days, our social media reach will skyrocket, but only if you all help out. I will update the numbers in the title every day until the day of the money bomb. For anyone unfamiliar with Thunderclap... you sign up with your Facebook or Twitter account and on November 5th they will post one message advertising the money bomb from everyone at the same moment.

The message includes a link to Rand's site to donate and the hashtag #StandWithRand, and the idea is that when a large number of people all post the same message at the same time it's able to break through the noise of a social media feed and be seen. You can customize the message that will be sent... just make sure to leave the link and hashtag.

We need at least 250 people to sign up before the 5th in order for the message to be sent.

It's free, it's simple, and takes less than a minute to join. And it will promote the money bomb to the feeds of hundreds of thousands of people.

The Thunderclap is a really great way to amplify our reach, and it's just so easy to do. All you need is a Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr account and enough energy for a few mouse clicks.

Done. Sorry my reach is hardly anything. I dont use social media but I fiigure any extra person to make sure those who do have the followers goes out is worth it.

Yes, you are exactly right. It's ok if you don't have as much reach, you are still one step closer to the 250 supporters needed.

There are about 350-400 campuses with representation on that forum and most of them have a social media guru or even a team. So I'm hoping they can help push this hard and fast.

Thank you. On November 5th at 3pm ET they will automatically post that one message from everyone at the same time.

You can customize the message too when you sign up... as long as you keep something about the money bomb, the hashtag #StandWithRand and the link that leads to Rand's site.

Then after it's sent on the 5th you can go in to your Twitter or Facebook settings and remove the permission given to Thunderclap if you want.

if its a few short before it ends, cant we just make random email accounts and twitter accounts to make sure it goes out? I know optimally we want real people but i think making sure it goes out is more important.

Edit: Nvm, just realized you can only create two accounts before it requires phone verification. So I signed up twice for this. I'd recommend other to do the same if they dont mind.

I have a feeling that the spam filter swallowed my thread, as I haven't gotten a single upvote yet after 3 hours. This may have happened because I've never posted in this subreddit before. It has happened to me in the past. This makes me suspect that people can't see the thread at all. It had been posted there earlier and they had it stickied for awhile. In my limited Reddit posting experience it seems like posting stuff on there is a total gamble with whether it works great or goes nowhere.
