I doubt that they are psychopaths. Also, BIG PHARMA, is the thing that keeps innovation at home and not in europe

Doctors make money off of sick people, but Insurance Companies make money off of healthy people.

The problem with big pharma is that they can charge whatever they want for medications that usually cover up the symptoms without really affecting the cause of the problem. Of course, the solution to that is not to force big pharma to only charge so much for medications, but to let the free market decide by introducing competition. Look at it this way, if you had to buy pills for some cancer treatment that made you feel not quite as sick but didnt do shit about the cancer itself, and had to pay $60 bucks per pill (or pass that cost along to the Insurance Company), and had an alternative of simply eating less sugar as a cure (I know it isnt a cure, but this is hypothetical), which one would make the most money for Big Pharma?

This article would have been much stronger if it focused on how the AMA used monopoly powers to create a shortage of REAL doctors. Talking about homeopathy and other forms of quackery just muddies and undermines the argument.
