$10,500 to Reach 14.4 million people. And the Fighter wants it too!!

I'm sorry to be a party pooper but, I think all this stuff is b.s. The race car was the same.
Like, "Hey! This guy is a Ron Paul supporter, and he wants to help us out by charging us tens of thousands of dollars to support him!! He knows we have the money, and is willing to take it from us! Isn't that great!"
If you're a Ron Paul supporter, then you stick Ron Paul's name on your shorts for FREE or it means NOTHING. Hello?
So this dude's fighting buddies, or the race driver's racing buddies or pit crew all ask, "So, you're a Ron Paul supporter?" They respond, "For 10,000.oo bucks I am!! HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!" I mean, c'mon people. Of COURSE this fighter, "wants it too!" He's gonna make a stack of cash for doing nothing. Either you're a supporter, or you're making money. Don't pretend like you're a big Ron Paul supporter, and then charge ten grand. There's nothing wrong with making money, just be honest about it. Advertising on some wrestler's ass? - bad idea.

Huge. Huge. Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge waste of money.

I'm waiting for someone to post, "Hey guys, I know a guy who owns billboard/advertising space all over town. He's a massive Ron Paul supporter. We can put Ron Paul's name and face on all the billboards. We just need to raise $15,000.00 first. Who's with me!!"

I agree Andrew. The money would be much better spent on something else such as the Ron Paul Newspaper that is still needing funding.

This is cool. Cung Le rocks! I used to spend a lot of time on martial arts forums before the campaign. If we pull this off it will be HUGE! It will be a great point of conversation.

Hey, I feel the folks that say "Cung should do it for free if he's a real supporter". My guess is...he ain't a real supporter. But so? The question is of exposure, reach and face time. Someone mentioned a billboard? Well I chipped in for a billboard. Not because I thought the owner was a "supporter" but because I knew thousands of people per day would see the billboard. Ultimately it all comes down to the free market. If you don't think it's a good idea put your money somewhere else. Use the "Ron Paul Toolbar" so that you can donate for free to these various grassroots projects. Come up with your own ideas.

John M. Drake

BIG +1

I will donate to this as soon as I can see how much has already been donated. the 10K is a total requested right? how much is left to go... I need a little motivation and transparency.

Then Im all in

Clicking on the chip-in link on the site reveals that so far $95 has been contributed. $50 of that came from me.

Cung Lee will be fighting Frank Shamrock right? This is a big fight. I'll be watching it.

I'd say it was worth it. BUT you must have a contract that stipulates if he DOES NOT say it - you get your money back AND we need to decide how best to use that money.

where's a link that shows Cung Le supports Ron? that link just says we can buy the ads on his shorts and whatnot. i would like to post a link in a couple MMA forums i frequent.

For people who don't know: Cung Le is a seemingly unstoppable kickboxer champion. He has owned people for a long time. Having him sport RP gear while mauling guys 'til he retires would be a smart move.:D

Sounds like a great opportunity.

How is the fundraising doing on this? Is it a done deal yet?
