What percentage of Americans are aware that the Earth ellipses the Sun?
You are spoiling the sacred geometry of the universe!!!

What percentage of Americans are aware that the Earth doesn't even really "ellipse" the sun, but - due to apsidal precession - actually "flower petals" the sun ...

I've speculated that the multiverse is "flower petal" in its basic structure--also double helix in three dimensions. If true, it's another remarkable example of how shapes repeat themselves in varying bodies and systems (e.g disks, spirals, etc.).
Holy Fractals, Batman!!!
A scientific theory is like the heavyweight champion of the world - it can only claim the title of truth until some inconvenient fact knocks it out of the ring. But the longer it stays in the ring, taking on all comers, the more of a bad ass it is seen to be. The theory of the origin of species by natural selection is the BIGGEST bad ass in the biological science.
Critics point to the fact that American school districts rely heavily on property taxes for their funding, which means schools in affluent areas get more money than those in middle and poor ones. Tax money to fill the void fails to make ends meet in school districts where poverty levels are greatest.
In almost every state, the amount of money spent per pupil has more than doubled in the last 40 years, according to a new report. States spent an average of $4,221 per student in the 1969-1970 school year, in 2010 dollars. That number jumped to $10,643 in the 2009-2010 school year.

Or, it's the most corrupted and establishment over-protected concept of the last century, that stays on top mainly because it suppresses its most serious contender, intelligent design, from ever entering the ring. To call it a theory is generous, as that implies it can be replicated or observed as per the scientific method, which it can't. So not only isn't it a real fighter, we can't even watch the fights.
How many of you know that all the depictions of the elliptical orbit of the earth are so distorted from reality as to be near fantasy? Viewed proportionately, it would be hard for the average human to tell the difference between a pure circle and the earths orbit.
The Earth’s orbit has an eccentricity of less than 0.02 (.0167).
Perhaps the Anunnaki left some cuneiform astro-physics notes.Which makes Kepler's work all the more remarkable.

I knew this. I just didn't know the exact eccentricity. Thnx. ~hugs~How many of you know that all the depictions of the elliptical orbit of the earth are so distorted from reality as to be near fantasy? A lot of people either aren't questioning what they are being asked about, or blindly go with whatever Obama is claimed to support, or aren't taking being polled seriously.
