1/30 Debate - will RP attack them on their records?

We are getting down to it. If Ron really wants to win, we will see something different, possibly a fire in Ron we havent seen. This is the last debate before Super Tuesday. If its business as usual, Ron Paul won't be our next president. It's now or never. Tomorrow will let us know if we still have a chance. I pray to God he gives everyone something that cant be ignored.

LET 'EM HAVE IT RON!!

Last thing we want is an over-eager/over-frustrated/over-confrontational/over-angry RP making himself a Dean moment of any sort.

He doesnt need to reach by bashing the other candidates... he needs to stress himself, and connect with voters on an emotional level... understand the troubles peopel are going through and connect with him on how getting back to our roots can fix a lot of this manufactured issues we are seeing today. Sending one of these candidates is not going to remove our mistakes, but continue to put lipstick on the pig...

he has to connect...

your right, an over eager Ron = Alan Keyes in the eyes of the voters.

It's an all in moment! He needs to attack McCain hard.

1. Ask McCain the same questions about monetary policy that RP would normally ask Alan Greespan or Ben Bernake and make him look like a fool for not understanding what the hell he's talking about.

2. Drill him on his 100 years in Iraq comment. Set him up to make another inane comment illustrating his utter and complete misunderstanding of non-interventionism vs. isolationism.

3. Pummel him on his position on amnesty for illegals.

Let Romney and Huckabee join in on the three way assault.

Drilling McCain on uber Economy speak will do nothing... The average American voter has no care in the world HOW the economy works, only the perception that someone will and can fix it better.

The last and only tactic is to Rally the True Conservative vote...
A lot of people are watching their party leave them before their eyes. Ron Paul is the only one who is the true conservative.

First thing he needs to do is get a good night's sleep. If you saw the Leno interview, which was taped in the morning, RP was great. Sharp, engaging, he really got his message across. I think, like most older men, he loses energy as the day gets older. I'd love to see him in a morning debate!

Second thing he needs to do is ATTACK! Drill holes in McCain. Make McCain mad and lose his temper. Make all three other candidates look like Socialists! (should be easy).

This debate is a perfect time to take on Flip-Romney & Tax-Hike McCain, wars forever, fiscal retardation, etc.

Will Dr. Paul kick some liberal ass tomorrow night?

Ignore the other candidates and actually speak to the people watching...call it like it is....here's a rough outline that might do the trick.

For the past 30 years in congress, I have been consistantly conservative on all the important issues; small government, pro-family, pro-life, protecting second amendment rights, cracking down on illegal immigration. The only issue some of you seem to disagree with me on is the war in Iraq. So, here is what I'm wondering: Iraq is one of the top issues of this election and over 2/3rds of Americans want us out of Iraq. In 2006 America voted Republicans out the House, they voted Republicans out of the Senate, because of this war. Now we find ourselves in a position where every other candidate on this stage has said they will continue the war. That doesn't bode very well for our chances in 2008. So, tell me this republican party: Are you willing to let a democrat take the white house because of this war? Are you willing to let several Pro-Choice Supreme Court justices get appointed because of this war? Are you willing to let illegal immigrants overrun our country because of this war? Are you willing to let universal socialized healthcare plunge our country into even more debt over this war? If things keep going like they are, a democrat will win and with it this war will end. The only question that you need to ask yourself now is if you would rather have Hillary or Obama run the country after the war has ended, or if you would rather have a pro-life, pro-family, small government, 2nd amendment supporting, illegal immigration ending, pro constitution, Regan conservative in the white house. That's what I'm offering, I hope you'll think about it and decide to join our campaign.

All I Got To Say Is He Better Pull Something, And Do It Fast Because Super Tuesday Is This Tuesday.....and From The Numbers In Florida, Most People Still Do Not Know Who The F*** He Is And What He Stands For.

How can he do this when he never gets a chance to talk?????????????

There are only going to be the 4 of them. Even if it is a 90 minute debate like the last one, it will be hard for them to ignore him when Ghoulliani's not there to stretch the taut skin over his skull in what he believes is a superior smile.

Pure Genius. I dont think that would leave a doubt in anyones head. :):):):)

no, if he stays out of the fray, he can gain 6-8% like edwards did after the democratic debate. everyone else will be attacking each other.

I think that is a fantastic, fantastic answer. I'd submit that to the campaign via email, fax and voicemail so they get it, and maybe they can massage it, make it hit hard and get it in front of Ron. I think that one alone is worth a 5 percent bounce...and a 5 percent bounce would get us another 10 percent bounce when people start talking about him, looking into it and saying...hmm...he has a shot?

He'll be catchin' on, I'm tellin ya.

You should be writing his speeches, I'd love to hear him say that, and it's all true.

I would also like for him to say that "the MSM is telling America who they have to vote for, annointing the next KING GEORGE by refusing to cover this true American's campaign and thereby LIMITING the debate on the issue of YOUR constitutional rights!" (though that does have kind of a plaintiff whine to it)

He needs to stir some things up tonight. Call them out by name, make them rebut, then he can get some more airtime. It is obvious that he wins the debate with people who really think about the issues, but like someone said before, people choose on emotion. He needs to get fired up! Stand up, call them out, show the masses that he has some huge constitutional balls and that he's not afraid to swing them around! Go get 'em, RP!

Youre assuming he will get enough face time to do this? Did you miss the last debate? They dont even want him on the stage, let alone give him the time to make their little darlings look bad... :(

He can put their records out there, and the like LBJ said, "make the bastards deny it"

Not sure this belongs in this thread but I think that many if not the large majority of Ron Paul supporters are not registered Republicans and are not voting in these primaries. Chris Matthews ( although I can't stand him) did state last night that Republicans don't like Mavericks. Not that R.P. is a maverick but he has been painted as one and is perceived as one by the staunch Republican base. The tactic of winning the Republican nomination is a big stretch - since the party is absolutely controlled by hawks and anti liberty neocons - if this is the only shot we've got then a huge number of Paul supporters will never even get to cast a vote for him. Only if he runs as an independent. I have some kind of illogical hope that he can pull off this Republican thing but to consistently score in the single percentage digits does not bode well at this point. Well I'll keep contibuting regardless. I wish the sheeple would wake up before they throw this opportunity away.

He really, really needs to push his own record while pointing out the flaws in the other candidates policies.

Most people probably don't know that he never voted to raise taxes, etc.
